“So romantic !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

We stayed in Marbella for 3 days and loved it. La Morada is a fantastic place to stay. Its a small hotel with few rooms and so charming. Ideally situated in the old town, its a traditional andalus home perfectly renovated.
It might be a little bit difficult to access by car, as every spot in the old town...but once there you really feel in a very special place.
Close to all the main boutiques and restaurants, close to the beach,we highly recommend it !

“Charming character accomodation in beautiful surroundings”

We stayed at La Morado for 3 night as part of a road trip around Spain. Agree with previous reviewers in that it can be tricky to find, however, use the directions sent to you after booking and follow these. The car park recommended by the hotel is signposted as soon as you take the right exit - park on the level of the ticket office to avoid you having to lug any luggage up stairs.

If you are walking from the car park to the hotel - here's the quickest route we found... leave the car park from the pedestrian exit (next to the ticket office) and turn left. Walk uphill until the pedestrian crossing - cross to the right hand side of the road and take the stairs up. Keep walking along this street - you will see a Pharmacy in front of you - and you need to turn right past this pharmacy. You'll then pass a church on your left (try not to get distracted by beautiful Old Town Marbella) - keep walking down this street and La Morada is up a small street on your left, just past the clothes shop. Hope this helps!

We stayed in the suite and it was just beautiful - little lounge area, very nice bathroom and best of all a spiral staircase leading to our very own patio with two loungers and a table / chair on which we ate the very lovely breakfast in the sunshine most mornings. The breakfast is additional but is worth having, even if just for one day, for the charm of opening your door to find a well-stocked picnic basket containing orange juice, a flask of tea or coffee, and pastries!!

The location of the hotel is great, in the heart of the Old Town which is simply beautiful and a easy going 10-15 minute walk to the beach. Due to the bars and restuarants nearby there was a bit of street noise at night but we didn't find this interrupted our sleep. You won't be stuck for places to eat or drink here!!

Never would have rated this a 2 star accomodation, it's small but perfectly formed and we thought it was a bargin for what we paid for it. Would recommend!!

Room Tip: The suite with its large outside patio is lovely for a special occasion or two families (with two be...

“Great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

I have to agree with all the positive reviews. The old part of Marbella is really charming and well worth exploring, and this hotel makes a really good base. There are friendly staff and it's a hotel full of character. It is slightly tricky to find from the recommended carpark, the price of which needs factoring into your budget, and our bathroom lacked anywhere to put our wash things other than a tiny shelf, but these are comparatively minor niggles. We left very satisfied.

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

This hotel is every bit as good as earlier reviews have indicated. With only 7 rooms and tucked away in a quiet alley in Marbella’s old town, it is a world away from the large beach-front hotels. An oasis of tranquillity which is, however, only minutes from the cafes, restaurants and shops of the old town and not much further to the sea. Buses along the coast stop five minutes away and the main bus station (direct bus service to Malaga airport) is only 20 minutes walk.

The hotel is simply but beautifully decorated and efficiently run by a friendly and helpful mother and daughter team. Breakfast is fresh and tasty and delivered to your room in a basket – a really relaxing way to start the day. The hotel is classed as a 2 star, presumably because, being so small, it doesn’t have the facilities (dining room, bar, etc) to get a higher classification. But quality and friendliness are definitely 3 star – or better.

Room Tip: The superior doubles offer more space and some have quirky aspects like bathrooms and sitting areas...

“Beautiful small place and very nice location"”

We loved our stay at La Morada Mas Hermosa Hotel - it is in the heart of the old town of Marbella - so, you just leave your room and there are all these lovely restaurants and bars. Its like 15 min walk to the beach, but there is no better place to see some narrow white Spanish streets and still be in Costa del Sol! The hotel was a very pleasant surprise, clean, cozy, quiet and very reasonably priced!
