Everything in this hotel is fantastic, but only if you do have a car - if not, better look for something else in Marbella's area.The hotel is situated in a very beatiful village, san pedro alcantara, which is 10mins drive from Marbella and 5 mins from the glamorous - and as it should be expected, expensive - Puerto Banus.

Parking cost is only (i use the "only" having in mind the season and the place) 12 euros per day.
Fantastic and rich breakfast with fresh ingredients (plus you can order how you want your eggs or anything).
Trained and friendly staff.
Free internet in your room.

I didn't use and therefore i don't have an opinion for the restaurants or the snack bar....

Well,I'm in the Marbella Hotel now as I write this report for you all and all I can say is it's a very nice laid out hotel and the room's are very nice and well cleaned. The reception area is also very well maintained and cleaned. Food is very bland and seem's to repeat itself each evening. After dark there is NOTHING to do at all NO ENTERTAINMENT and because of where the hotel is you either need a car or taxis everywhere you go. The nearest place to go to is Puerto Banus this is a very nice resort but be propared to pay big time just a large beer you are looking at 5 Euro's. We also went for an Indian meal in Puerto Banus and for a normal curry x 2 cost 55 Euro's! Back at the hotel drink's are just as expensive Water 3 Euro's Draught Beer 5 Euro's any Cocktail 7 Euro's. Taxis to Puerto Banus are 13 Euro's Each Way for a ten minute ride! We stayed at this hotel for three nights and that was enough NOT RECOMMENDED for children nothing for them to do when the pool closes at 8pm. The hotel does not have a cash machine even though it's a four star hotel! To get to the nearest cash machine you need to turn left out of the hotel and walk for around 20 minutes, (but watch out for the dog dirt on the pavement!) Whilst we were there we found a little cafe called Ricky's Porky's that was run by English People the Manager's name was Carol and a full breakfast cost 10 Euro's and believe me it's a belly buster with proper English sausage and bacon!
If you want a holiday and not bothered about going anywhere this hotel is for you otherwise don't bother going we won't be back! Hotel lovely but expensive location 0 out of 10! (Also miles from the beach!) Almost done Internet is FREE in Reception if you have a Laptop you can also gain connection in the bedroom on wireless!

Well I have just returned from Barcelo Marbella and the following is my experience:
Nice Spacious Room, Decent sized balcony (light not working - we bought candles), good breakfast they catered for all tastes, Nice main pool but jacuzzi broken/paddling pool not the cleanest and the other pool was closed. Staff friendly but VERY slow at check in, very dirty floor when we arrived (but clean floor on the following mornings), buffet lunch was way overpriced and the food in the snack bar was awful (pre-made club sandwich which they just toasted on the outside so was cold and soggy on the inside, soft crisps etc.) they played loud music by the pool all day which I found interfering, pool toilets were not kept well at all ( day 1 the toilet was blocked and on day 2 it had been unblocked but hadn't been cleaned) spa was closed more than it was open.

The view is not of rolling hills and the golf course , our view was of the road but we asked to be moved and got a pool view instead - the backdrop of which was apartments.

It's also very far away from everything (Marbella town and Puerto Banus) so it's a choice of hire a car, pay a fortune for taxis or stay put in the hotel.

We made the best of our stay and enjoyed ourselves but I wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Hotel is very good for those who like us has a car and are willing to trip across Andalucia or playing golf.
It's far from the hotel to beaches restaurants and shops.
Breakfast is good enough, territory is beautiful.
There are a road between golf fields and hotel, so if you have that view you would see a road, but it's not noisy and crowded, it's very quiet.
Also I liked pool very much. And a bathroom is better then somwhere, there are a bath and a shower inside.
