8 of us stayed here for a friends stag party in May. I read the reviews previously posted on Trip Advisor and must admit I was slightly worried. However, our own experience was fantastic. Firstly, the location is excellent - a 10 minute walk along the beach side takes you in to the heart of Puerto Banus where it all happens (Fantastic nightlife, shopping, eating and admiring exotic cars and boats like you have never seen are just some of the things to do there!). The rooms were good, although some of our party had rooms facing out towards the front/side of the hotel, where the view is of a dusty track and canal. The inward facing rooms have the better view of the manicured gardens and pools. Breakfast was good, with everything you could ever wish for. We didnt have dinner there as we prefered to eat out in Puerto Banus. The lunch and dinner buffer is about 48 euros, which is expensive, so my suggestion would be to eat out somewhere else. Drinks are quite expensive, but so is everywhere else in Puerto Banus. This is not a place to come on a budget holiday, so you have to take it on the chin. The outdoor pools are excellent (the best one is at the back and features a lovely rock/waterfall feature). A great time was had by all and I would definitely recommend this place to others (not just stag partys either - I would certainly go back with my girlfriend) without hesitation.

The hotel is very clean, and the food is good but it was nearly always cold. The drinks are very expensive over 5 euros for a small beer that wasnt even a full glass and food is also very expensive. When we were there no one was eating or drinking through the day in the hotel. When you have finished your meal there is nothing else to do as there is no entertainment at all unless you walk in to the town centre. We would not return to this hotel for the reasons mentioned .

I have reviewed this hotel in the past but feel I need to add more !
Since we last stayed at this hotel it has had a refurb the rooms are much better, food is just as good as they always were, with a chef preparing your chosen meats and fish for you, as the pound is not very strong it makes half board basis a lot more attractive.
It is a pleasent walk into Puerto Banus along the sea front promanade.
A special mention to Maria who spoke good english and was always very pleasent also thanks to Isabel the assistant manager
I have stayed in lots of hotels in this area but would highly recommend this hotel .

We recently stayed at the Hotel Dinamar Marbella March 2009- when we arrived by private car we both were shocked at the front of the Hotel - no help with the luggage from the hotel staff. We had read the reviews before we arrived and must agree that although the Hotel is very clean and the grounds are kept lovely and rooms are clean the food was dreadfully cold, no hot plates and we did complain to the reception and the restaurant manager - all we got was use the microwave as the weather is cold!!!! yes it was cool at night but the air condition was always on cold! and even so the food was stone cold. Would never recommend this hotel to anybody- what a shame!!!
