I stayed at Cortijo Blanco at the beginning of June with my extended family. The rooms are somewhat basic, in that there's no hairdryer, coffee pot, 400 count sheets, etc. They are, however, extremely clean, as is the whole hotel and grounds.
We had three rooms in different locations on this large property - all had their own terrace and views over the pool or garden. Not at all noisy as I saw in some posts here.
There are three pools - 1 across the road at an annex, which we discovered by accident. Plenty of loungers around the pool there, but on grass, not paving. The children's pool seemed to have few lounge beds available as whole families put out their towels early. The main pool was busy, but we had to get out there by 9am if we wanted a lounger. Always plenty of regular seats in the plaza, for those who don't want to sit near the pool.
The food was ok, typical buffet style 3 star value. There was always something good, but the meat was often overdone. Plenty to chose from at all meals. The packed lunches were excellent. Really too much to eat and lots of variety. Drinks were flowing all day long - coffee, tea, alcohol and soft drinks.
Entertainment was very good most nights, though there were a couple of nights when it wasn't too much planned.
Easy access to Rhonda, Granada and other resorts along the coast. Parking is hard at this resort - very tight, often no room. No beach at this resort. Beachfront about 2 mins away and is very poor.
All in all we had a great time. Very good value for money.
