“Customer Service?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We stayed here from the 3rd to 6th of February 2012, and went all inclusive in a standard apartment which had a living and dining area, kitchen and toilet downstairs, and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Could not fault the room, spotless and felt l ike home from home.
Great location - we were a bit out of the way, but Marbella was a short and cheap bus ride away, Puerto Banus was ok to get to in a cab, beach was over the road, supermarket round the corner. Lovely resort, classic build.
BUT - the staff here have no sense of customer satisfaction. Everything we asked for was like hard work for them. We asked for a pizza one night, and the guy we asked didnt even know what toppings were on it! And this was not due to a language barrier, they just couldnt be bothered. Had to wait at the bar for ages sometimes just for a drink. When you asked for something, or asked them a question, they made us feel like we were morons! Considering how quiet it was, we thought they would have the time and capacity to be more courteous.
No room service on a Sunday - ??? Never seen anything like it. Even when we did have room service, non of the dishes we used were washed, no actual straightening up had occured.
Oh and the shower and bath arrangements?? What a joke. Cold water in our apartment, in the showers in the sauna. Heated pool was tepid and the jacuzi was lame.
Food was ok, not much choice but was to be expected due to going off season.
If the staff made more of an effort, this would have been a great trip.

Stayed here for a week over Xmas loved it that it's a little house you get fully equipped as a self catering place with washing machine... Not alot around the area couple ov bars n restaurants all very good. We hired a car from saints rent a car €90 for 6 days English run company got the number from the local English newspaper the news. some people had a moan about the complex think they were expecting a hotel as it is an all inclusive resort but we really liked it the way it was would deffo go back again.

“Great Christmas 2011”

Just spent 7 days here with my partner and throughly enjoyed it..!!
This hotel has it's plus and minus points though...

Plus..

1) We had a lovely place (6132) which was at the bottom of the hill but we enjoyed it because it was very peaceful (apart from an annoying barking dog one night!!)
2) Very clean- Towels and beds changed everyday
3) Friendly staff and equally some very friendly guests
4) Nice beach not too far away if you have the time (20 mins walk)
5) The hotel was very acceptable on the whole for the price we paid

Minus..

1) Location was very out of the way but cheap buses
2) We went All Inclusive and most of the time our food was always cold and not much choice of different meats
3) Entertainment was poor - Absolutely shocking!! You had to get drunk to drown it out!!
4) Often had to wait ages for drinks
5) One or two of the staff were very rude! However, friendly to locals

I would definately stay here again but would only stay off season

“We loved it!”

We spent a lovely week here at the begining of November. The accommodation was much bigger than expected, a nice sitting room, cloakroom and then downstaris to the bedroom and bathroom. The only thing we did not like about the room was the very steep staircase, which had no hand rail.

The food was good, plenty of variety, nice and Spanish, yes it could have been a little hotter. We found the all inclusive option very good value for money.

The location is a little out of the way, but, we knew that when we booked and hired a car. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel.

Would love to return.

“Good central location for Costa del Sol exploration”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

We stayed here a week in October and as it was off-season it was quite quiet. The townhouse unit we had was a bit outdated but was perfectly fine. Upstairs was a bathroom and bedroom with huge balcony. Main floor had living room/dining area/kitchen and another patio off the kitchen. No TV upstairs and a quite small older one in the living room. We did not have the meal plan and what was provided in the kitchen was sufficient for our needs. There is a good grocery store just a minute away so very handy. The resort has a very nice lobby. That is where you have to go to use the free WIFI as it does not reach the units. Not that inconvenient but some units are quite a distance from the lobby so it takes some time to go back and forth. We had parking right in front of our unit so that was really convenient. The location is not actually in Marbella at all - in fact it is at the Las Chapas exit of the highway. Marbella is a good 15 minute drive away. We also drove to Gibraltar from there (approx. 1.5+ hours), Ronda (1/2 hour), Tarifa (about 1/2 hr. past Gibraltar and where you get the ferry for Tangier). It is only 45 mins. from Malaga so for exploring that part of Spain it is good. We did not go there for the beach or sun and i think you would really have to check it out if that is what you are looking for rather than a jump off point for vehicle exploration. Staff were very helpful and they immediately took care of a few housekeeping items we identified upon arrival. I think for the time of year we went it was very good value for an accommodation where you can sprawl out and cook vs. a hotel room on its own. We did not use any of the facilities but there are two good sized outdoor pools and an indoor pool with a hot tub.
