“Not bad, but apartments do feel used.”

Overall I think the hotel was a good stay, the grounds (gardens) are beatifull to spend time in during the day or evening, I`ll just list pros and cons for easy read.

Pros

- The gardens in the hotels are very nice, the layout is like a village with many fountains and well looked vegetation with amazing smells around.

- The size of living accommodation is very extensive as well, featuring around 100 squared meters and 2 full bathrooms for 2 bedroom villa (most of us dont have those sizes in UK) Living room is big and kitchen is a very decent size as well

- We had our own access to the rooftop and exit into garden from living room on ground floor

- Kitchen had all the equipment you`ll even need to cook

- Secured car parking, it does cost 4 euros a night though... (there was few Lamborghini`s and Ferrari`s parked there)

- Restaraunts right in front of the hotel

- Puerto Banus is a very very nice place to be... clean with big shopping centres and its own marina with very nice yachts and cars, the feel reminded me of St. Tropez however st tropez doesnt feature massive shopping centres.

Cons

- As many people mentioned... apartments are used and do feel tired there is some drawings and scratches on walls....

- The beds that we had were terribly squeeky

- Bathrooms seem to be out of date

- Some draws in kitchen cant be opened because of poor design so they get blocked by cooker or something.

- Without a car you will get bored.

- On bathroom curtain with hotels logo, there was 5 stars... I guess over time they had to remove some.

“Ideal for Poerto Banus”

I was a little worried about staying here after reading some reviews but my fears were unfounded, we hired a car as it is about 80 euros in taxi from the airport & had no problem parking in front of the hotel all week which is free. The reception is small & not open very often but staff helpfull, we asked for a 2 bathroom apartment as there was 4 of us & we were given this no problem. Our apartment (room 87) was on the road side of block but we had a lovely view of surrounding villas (see photo). The gardens are lovely with the smell of the many lime & orange trees in it, there are 3 pools but the one one choose to sit by was lovely & usually very quiet, childrens slide is closed due to safety & we mostly has this to ourselves. There are lots of stairs & to my knowledge no lifts so this wouldn't be suitable for the infirm. The apartment itself was large & clean & after our washer broke & we complained a new one was fitted within the hour! we had sky TV but didnt often have a signal! cleaning costs extra but bins emptied everyday & we washed our towels. Another worry was the lack of bars on complex but this was fine as there are lovely classy bars which are reasonable price (Living room & Le Jardin) just outside gate - look out for the rich & famous who frequent these bars & cafe! It is a short taxi ride or a walk into Puerto Banus if a late night is in order as the bars around here & in the centre down the road appear to close around midnight, allthough they may continue serving if custom was there.
Overall we had a fab stay there & would have no hesitation in returning.

“FANTASTIC STAY”

Just come back yesterday after a fantastic 4 days stay at Aloha Gardens, there was four of us in our late 30s,who wanted to relax by day and hit the town by night , and we weren’t disappointed, the location was fantastic relaxing by the lovely pool in the day and just a 5 min taxi ride to Puerto Banus, for the restaurant and night life. The apartment were spotless, and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday
If I had to find a fault, it would be, it can be a bit noisy late at night on the weekends as they do have groups of friend staying there.
I Would definitely recommend this place for my friends or young family to stay, but not sure for the elderly as can be noisy and a lot of walking and a few stairs.

“Tired apartment in need of attention”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

Good location for Puerto Banus. However the apartment was very tired/dated and in need of attention. The bed linen was too small for the double bed in the main bedroom and the towels were a disgrace. The tv equipment in the living room was outdated (we had a VCR) and the only English channel was BBC World News. The patio furniture was cheap and the back garden was muddy. The kitchen was in desperate need of attention, the washing machine was rusted and when we went to use it, water leaked everywhere (they did replace it eventually). The dishwasher was filthy and didn't work properly and the tiles were coming away from one wall leaving exposed cement. The children's pool didn't have enough beds round it and there was a wasps nest by it as we ended up moving to the main pool due to swarms of wasps. There were far too many steps on the complex, which was totally unsuitable for children and the elderly. The complex could benefit from a pool bar and toilets.
On the plus side the main pool was lovely and we did see other apartments once we were there, that were in much better condition.

“Nice apartments, shame about the other guests!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

I first visited Aloha Gardens in June 2009, and had a wonderful relaxing weekend, which prompted me to return this summer. However, the relaxing restfull weekend wasn't to be as the complex sems to have been taken over by stag & hen parties! The pools and apartments are very nice, but being constantly woken at 3am, 4am, 5am by 'revellers' returning from local bars & nightclubs left us returning to the UK after a weekend that was supposed to be 'R&R', tired and disappointed. Also, if you're arriving 'out of hours' it's best to call reception in advance and reconfirm the pin code for the 'key safe' as we were locked out and it took us sometime to obtain the keys to our apartment!
