From the outside the hotel looks does not look anything special, but when you come into the large garden with lots of palm trees, it gives a very good spirits.

The rooms were large and spacious. The floors was swept only - no washing. No cleaning if you forget to put a sign on the door.
Morning and evening buffet were of reasonable standard, although there were too few waiters. The few who were there, ran very fast to serve the guests.

The playground and the swimming pool was perfect for smaller children. Towels can be borrowed against a deposit of € 10. The evening entertainment was fine, but not professional,
Close (walking distance) to the beach and Puerto Banus.

We actually where terrified as we had reserved the trip before we looked at all the mixed reviews on tripadvisor. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was superb, the only thing we found annoying was the extremely small juice glasses.
The gardens and pool area was beautiful and the 15-20min walk in to Puerto Banus was a nice "leg stretcher" after a day at the beach.

The Rincon Andaluz is a very pleasant hotel, comprising 3-storey accommodation blocks set in attractive surroundings, five minutes from the beach and a twenty-minute walk along the promenade to Puerto Banus. The hotel is situated next to the busy CN340 so I don't recommend the cheaper ('promo') rooms as they are likely to be close to the noisy road and I get the impression these are the rooms that cause the bad reviews. Book a standard or superior room and ask for middle or top floor near the main pool and you should have no problem. These rooms are spacious, clean, come with a nice balcony and on two visits I have not experienced any problems with the air-conditioning.

Food in the buffet-style restaurant is good and there is plenty to choose from. There are some tables on an open-air terrace, which is a great place for breakfast or dinner. The terrace is very popular so be prepared to wait a short while. Hotel staff are, generally, very pleasant and efficient. That said, some of the restaurant staff can get a little stressed when busy. Bar prices are OK for this part of the coast (EUR3.20 for a large beer, EUR7 for a large G&T, EUR18 for a reasonable bottle of wine in the restaurant).

There are two nice swimming pools, both of which can be busy so it's a case of getting up early if you want a sunbed for the day! Evening entertainment can be a bit naff but it does not go on much after 11pm (thankfully!).

Car-hire is recommended if you wish to get out and about and it's cheaper than a round-trip taxi from Malaga Airport. Finding a parking space can be a little testing at times.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay and good value for money.

Bad location, poor staff,poor security, lots of noise. Ask for room with proper balcony and location at the back of hotel.
