“Location!”

This is a nice hotel in a GREAT location. It's literally looking down on the beach, meaning you walk out the hotel, cross the road and your on the beach. i've been to Marbella a number of times and I always stay here. It's near loads of great restaurants and the shops are just a stroll away. It's clean and good value for money. The staff are really friendly. The pool on the roof is brilliant if the weather's nice. If I had to fault it, the balcony is a little narrow.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view in advance, there's no extra cost.

“Excellent Stay”

Spent the Christmas period, 10 nights (20th. December through 30th December 2011) in this Aparthotel in Marbella. From day one I was very impressed with this hotel. Excellent friendly
reception staff for whom nothing was too trivial to make my stay A1. Brilliant sea front location with everything one required close by.The large spotlessly clean, front facing balcony apartment was complete with kettle, microwave, coffee maker, cookware and cutlery and modern flatscreen TV with numerous English speaking channels. It was also serviced on a daily basis. Everything one required, bus stops, shops, restaurants, bars etc. were within walking distance, as was the old town area of Marbella. Whilst the brilliant weather in Marbella over the period certainly contributed to a feeling of well being, staying at the Princesa Playa
enhanced the experience no end. A superb stay for a moderate cost. Well done to all.

Room Tip: If travelling onwards from the Central Bus Station get the Hotel to book a taxi as the local bus/s...

My husband and I stayed here last October while attending a wedding in Marbella ,we were on a tight budget and Marbella can be quite expensive so we decided on the Princesa playa.
We arrived at reception to be met by a very grumpy unfriendly middleaged male hotel employee ,who made us feel like we were intruding on his space.
We had a studio apartment ,with kitchen facilities and a nice bathroom. We had a tiny balcony with a side view of the sea.
The swimming pool was quite small ,. we found it just adiquate for our needs but if we ever returned to Marbella we would look elsewhere.

“Would go back”

We stayed here in September and the place was still very busy. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We were trying to organise a day trip and they checked all the details for us and dealt with all the booking and payment details for us. The studio rooms are plenty big for two people. They are so spacious and airy. The rooms and facilities are very clean. There is a wide range of options in the breakfast buffet and everything is very fresh. The pool is on the roof of the hotel and did get a bit cold in the afternoon but as we were there in September that was to be expected. The hotel itself is located on the beach front along the promenade (it was as quick to go to the beach as the pool). It couldnt have been a better location. We were lucky enough to get a beach view and sitting on the balcony looking out over the ocean was one of the highlights of the holiday. If there was one complaint (and it is a minor one) there is no bar in the hotel. The bar and restaurant area closes at 5 in the evening. However the hotel is surrounded by many lovely restaurants and bars within less than two mins walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay here again if I go back to Marbella.

Room Tip: Ask for a beach front if possible as view is amazing

“Great Location!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

We spent four nights here in a one bedroom apartment overlooking the Med on the fifth floor, the view was spectacular!
We arrived at about 11.30pm on our first night to be warmly welcomed, speedily checked in and had our car parking sorted out.
Breakfast the next morning was excellent with an outstanding array of foods served in the eighth floor restaurant and adjoining deck overlooking the Med, an outstanding setting. Like a lot of Spanish apartment buildings our unit was adequate but somewhat creatively designed with a large entry hall, smallish bedroom, large bathroom, galley kitchen and awkward shaped living area, both the living and bedrooms opened onto the balcony.

The location is sensational, right on the beach and adjacent to the endless array of restaurants etc that line the beachfront. It's only about a ten minute walk to the magnificent Orange Square and it's excellent restaurants.

If you're driving check the location carefully as there is some confusion based on the address on their website. Our rental car had a built in GPS and Princess Playa was pre loaded in the correct location. Av del Duque de Ahumada is the correct address, Paseo Maritimo will send you a couple of kilometres away.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor overlooking the ocean, the view is spectacular.
