Halfway between the town of Marbella and Puerto Banus, you will find the hotel Los Monteros, which has a central location among the best golf courses of Costa del Sol and 5 minutes from the ocean.
The hotel lives up to the Andalusian style and spirit, due to a tasteful and comfortable decor, friendly staff and decorative details obtained directly from the art forms of the Mediterranean.
In the middle of the main building, where the reception is also located, is a beautiful small Andalusian square, which works as the access area to suites located on the first and only floor. In a connected taller building, you will find other suites.
Among others, there are spa suites, duplex suites, diplomat and ambassador suites, etc. All the suites are elegantly furnished in a timeless style, marble and precious wood decorate floors and walls and the beds are spacious and comfortable.
The two restaurants in the hotel are both very skilled in the culinary art of Spanish cuisine, and particularly excel at fish and shellfish dishes. This is also where you eat breakfast, which consists of an extensive international buffet. Unfortunately, the service is also typically Andalusian, slow.
If the large pool in the tropical garden of the hotel is not enough for you, you can visit the connected beach club, ”La Cabane”, which is located about 5 minutes from the hotel. This is a true paradise for sun enthusiasts.
Apart from the enormous pool, there is a lovely lounge, a bar and a restaurant where you can sit right at the water. When it is time for a ”siesta”, there are 6 double beds right at the water, where you can lie in the shade and relax.
Los Monteros boasts of 5 stars, I personally think that 4 stars would be more appropriate for this hotel. This is based on the lacking inspiration of the staff in general, a not so great view from the back of the hotel and a sometimes “snobbish” attitude in the reception.
