“I wouldn't rush back”

We spent three nights here in our motorhome during the Easter period and would make the following observations. The campsite is well positioned for both the beach and the regular (every 30 mins.) bus service into Marbella. The supermarket is well stocked and reasonably priced. However, the issues with the site I had was that it was extremely noisy throughout the day and until well after midnight even though campsite restrictions should have applied. Dog owners were a nuisance in and around the campsite. We even had to clear dog's mess off the pitch when we arrived and there seemed to be little control on where dogs were allowed to perform. The toilets and showers we used were very tired and in need of an upgrade. The site has a scruffy, shanty town look with a variety of semi-permanent screening arrangements used to separate tightly crammed caravans and motorhomes. There is also a real health and safety issue for children concerning old vehicles which litter the way to the play areas. The roads are very tight for large vehicles which didn't seem to deter many campers from driving well above the regulation speed limit. Staff were courteous but on arrival we had to wait well over an hour before our electricity supply was connected even though we were told it would be just a few moments. The swimming pool area was well controlled with lifeguards on duty even though very few people were using it because of the weather. We did not use the restaurant which seemed to be offering a very limited choice and appeared empty most of the time.

“Lovely site for exploring the area and relaxing”

We stayed here during a road trip throughout Spain, it was so lovely we stayed for about 6 days (initially we only planned 3!) this was the best campsite we stayed at.

We used the Alan Rogers Campsite guide to find the site and found some wonderful places to stay but this campsite had a fantastic pool area and welcome shade over the pitch.

We had our own tent but I believe you can also rent caravans and chalets direct from the campsite and on looking at the price list we found this to be a relatively cheap option.

Unfortunately on our pitch there was no grass so it was quite dusty, although during the trip we found that this is quite common in Spanish campsites, we only had a comfortable grassy pitch once!

At the time of our visit there were staff who spoke English and there was a well stocked shop, the facilities were clean and modern and site was very reasonably priced. We couldnt fault the site, we had a wonderful stay.

We had a hire car and so I am unsure as to bus availability etc, the site is some distance from Marbella town so we found a car useful for visiting and getting to see the area. Marbella was a lovely town and brilliant for relaxing and see the local sites - avoid like the plague the tacky areas like Malaga and Torremolinos, they are not a real reflection on Spain - we drove into these towns then straight out again!
