“Pity about the breakfast staff.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Suberb location, we had a spacious, bright, comfortable and spotless room, ( thankyou housekeeping ) over looking the street, very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom, sadly the breakfast is quite basic, but hey this is spain, the manager, ( her name was rocio ) in the breakfast room appeared to be not interested, and just was generally very unhelpful, which put a slight downer on our breakfast mornings, hotel 9 staff 4.

Room Tip: our room had white curtains and linings, if you need darkness, i would ask.

Thank you for your comments. Sorry for your slight downer breakfast.. We would like to point out that a cooked breakfast option including in the price exists. We would like to know you that we take comments about our staff very seriously.

“Stylish hotel in a perfect location”

We had a really lovely long weekend break to this hotel. The location and view of cathedral are amazing. We paid extra for a room with a balcony and to be honest, calling it a balcony was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was still a beautiful room.
I really enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good selection.
Every area of the hotel looks beautiful and stylish. The rooftop pool was very quiet when we visited - because it was a bit on the cold side for swimming - but I gave it a go anyway! It was lovely up there.
I would definitely consider staying in this hotel and returning to Malaga again.

“Still a good hotel, but signs of weakness”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This was our third visit to Molina Lario. The location and cleanliness are still first class. While we were generally happy with this latest visit, we were disappointed with the breakfast and are unlikely to bother including in any future return visit. The breakfast was uninspiring in its selection, but more worriesome the service was cold and distant. Conversely however to close on a high note, the reception staff were consistently helpful.

“Excellent hotel in a fabulous location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

We stayed 3 nights in 2 deluxe rooms in early January. This was my second stay at the Molina Lario (the first was a few years ago). I remebered the hotel being excellent and this time it exceed my recollections.

The Molina Lario is in a fabulous location right on the edge of the main shopping and dining area. It is in easy walking distance to the Alcazabar, the cathedral, Museo Picasso, CAC Malaga, Museo Carmen Thyssen and the port promenade leading to the Playa de La Malagueta. The rooms are excellently appointed and tastefully decorated with soaring high ceilings. The beds are extremely comfortable. I found the staff to be very friendly, very helpful, extremely competent and efficient - a winning combination every time.

Highly recommended

“Lovely modern hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Stayed in this hotel recently and was very happy overall. The hotel is lovely, very modern and really nicely decorated. The rooms are quite spacious, bigger then what you often find in centrally located hotels, and very comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location - just next to the cathedral close to the centre of the old town. Shops, bars and restaurants are all very close at hand. The reception staff at the hotel however are not the most welcoming or friendly, I found them to be almost rude in their curtness on a number of occasions. Also, we had breakfast included in our booking and had it brought to the room each morning - despite generally ordering the same items the breakfast varied considerably each morning and often items were missing. Overall though if looking for a good base from which to explore Malaga this hotel is the perfect choice.
