“Excelent value for centrallocation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

2nd stay in this hotel. Very convenient location, over the road from the Atarazanas market. 5 mins stroll to Calle Larios, the main shopping street and a few minutes further to the sights. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Taxi rank just along the road but the Alameda Centro underground station is just by the river 5 mins walk away, to the airport for €1.35. Hotel clean and safe.Breakfast average (at best), staff helpful and efficient but don't come across as friendly. Stayed 3 nights, beds not that comfy and a lot of street noise early in the morning.

“Very pleasant stay but awful breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2011

Booked a two-night stay at the hotel for myself and my husband. We booked through www.hrs.com and the were happy to find what was described on the webpage of the booking engine. The hotel is well located, only 10 minutes away from the town center and most sights, it is right by a traditional Spanish Market, which is open every working day and where you can find great fresh food. It is also located a few minutes' walk away from the bus stop for the airport so it is very convenient. The rooms were roomy and clean, without any fuss, equipped with a flat screen and a mini bar. It was very quiet at night so great for quality sleep.
The only problem was the breakfast, it is an extra €7 per person per night, and is certainly not worth it (hardly any choice of tea, only one type of fruit juice, very few pastries or yoghurts, and no traditional Spanish breakfast food...).
My advice: if you book a night, don't book the breakfast, you'll be better off heading to any cafe for a "desayuno"!

“Lovely relaxing stay”

Great city centre hotel at a very reasonable price. Stayed for 3 nights with my husband at the end of January and had a lovely relaxing stay. Great location, very handy to all the sights and train station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Did not experience noise as stated in other reviews. Would defnately stay again.

“Hotal - brilliant Virginia - brilliant”

We found this hotel very clean and welcoming. The location was excellent, right beside the centre of town and the local underground. The staff were friendly but what made the hotel was the receptionist, Virginia, who was courteous, welcoming and informative. Every day she made sure to inform us where all the best places to eat were and her smile was infectious!

“great location for city centre hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2010

This mid-range hotel is well located near the main sights in the old town and port. Give the breakfast a miss though - there are small cafes very close by that offer much better value. The hotel has excellent arrangements with an underground car park nearby with easy access to the main motorways around the costa and further afield. We would definitely stay here again.
