Having reviewed here 2 years ago very favourably its only right for balance sake that I re-review now.
Basically just stayed and everything perfect apart from onme very important thing. The room this time, was very very very noisy.
I asked for a quiet room too (in perfect spanish too).
Now, for me the most important factor in getting a room for the night - is will it give you the ability to sleep?
I cant say it was a nightmare - because to have a nightmare one has to be asleep!
I was on the back - a quieter place than the main road at the front. However, rubbish trucks, streetcleaning machines and rowdy people out for a night out contributed to the noise.
When I stayed before they put me in an internal room with no external windows (there was a window to light from a internal courtyard. It was almost perfect. However it seems the majority of the rooms are on the outside (either back or front) and therefore noisy...very.
Ok I appreciate that Malaga is a noisy city, however the problem lies in bad planning when the specification was made for windows in the hotel. There exists almost totally sound proof window systems for hotels. However here theyve scrimped - and how you can tell. They simply havent tried to 'design-out', at the start, a foreseeable problem when it was renovated to a hotel.
Hence my gripe. Im not happy posting it but am also conscious that my previou s review may well influence others. Unless they can 100% promise you an internal, and therefore quiet room - be very careful.
As I said at the beginning Im loathe to post this - the staff are great, rooms clean, infact everything great.
Its just noisy.
Room Tip: ask for an internal one
