Clean and well run, very convenient location close to Malaga Centro Almeda station which is at the end of the line from Fuengirola to Malaga, only 4 stops from the Airport. 10 min walk to the main bus and train stations in one direction and 10 min walk from the city centre in the other. Breakfast is good value especially if booked with the room.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Astoria. Very central, with the metro station right outside. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Malaga.

Stayed here for two single nights either end of a cruise from Malaga. Perfect location close to the the port, and less than a minute's walk from metro/train that runs along the coast, including the airport.
The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful on the first day, letting us have our room early and we were able to then spend a day in Benalmadena. However, on our return at the end of the cruise, we were refused an early check-in by different receptionist, and no effort was made to accommodate us early. We had to hang around from 9am to 1:30pm before we could get to our room.
We still spent a few hours in Torremolinos (15 mins away) as the local train is so convenient.
Recommended for location, but the staff could be a bit more human!!

Stayed in the Astoria for two nights prior to going on a cruise. It was excellent - conveniently located close to principal sights and easily accessible from the airport by bus (fare €2.00) or taxi (fare about €20.00). There is also a metro station within a few yards of the hotel entrance. Receptionist was friendly with good English. Room was quite pleasant and included a whirlpool bath! All in all I'd highly recommend the Astoria.
