“Pleasant clean hotel”

This hotel was chosen for us by locals who had checked a few others on the same strip and decided that this was the best overall. We arrived and were very pleased. The staff are friendly, the room is clean and because we are on the 5th floor facing the sea the view is beautiful especially from our wee balcony. The bathroom was clean with marble throughout. Wifi is open access and free and there is air conditioning in the room that the guest can control. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired.....after consuming four different forms of white bread (croissant, muffin, apple danish and lemon muffin) that mono/bikini might leave the wearer sporting a muffin (top) of their own...... The coffee was good tough. It seems that they might serve the breakfast in the room but this was not advertised and we did not ask so we ate in the basement, a bit of a shame because the view was so nice. The towels are cute and are for sale should the guest want a nice souvenir. This is a hotel that you will not spend a lot of time in since the beach is right there and the city has a lot to offer. It does not offer that wow factor but it does not need to. The price is good, I think we paid 70 euros/night and wifi is good and free.

“Pretty Average Hotel-Great Location”

The Hotel was clean & our room was clean & well serviced, however the air conditioning was old & not very good. The staff were not unfriendly, but they didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome either. It was not possible to have breakfast before 8am. It consisted of 2 slices of toast, butter & jam a pot of tea per person. The cost was 3 Euros each which I thought was too much. The main eating facility was across the very busy main road in front of the Hotel, but the food left a lot to be desired; was overcooked most of the time. Also, the English explanations of the Spanish menu were not clear on all items. On one occasion we thought we were ordering a chicken roll but it turned out to be a chicken kebab on a stick & some very very pale under-done chips!! Needless to say, the staff spoke no english. The best meal we had was from the little beach huts, there are 2 on the stretch of beach opposite where the Hotel is. They cook on an open fire & in a small kitchen at the back of the hut, which was also the beach bar. The staff were fantastic & couldn't do enough for us. Again it was over-priced for the portion size & the drinks, but we did enjoy it.
If you are going on holiday to Malaga for the Museums, Galleries & Architecture, you will love it. If you go there expecting to see Bars & Clubs & Entertainers then hard luck!
I'm afraid to say we will not be going back to Malaga.

“Great Find for Fun Malaga Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2010

Just arrived back from a much needed break in Malaga. The hotel was perfectly situated for easy access to the beach but also for town. There is a great bus service with a stop right outside the hotel which runs regularly and late into the morning (for the party goers) and is very cheap (1.10 Euro each way).

The beach is just a street away and offers lovely eating places with various local seafood dishes as well as sunbed/sun shade service.

Close to the hotel are some very nice restaurants and bars as well as a Super Sol mini mart for last minute necessities. One particular restaurant I recommend is the Circus Spaghetti restaurant which makes all its pasta by hand and the steaks are good quality and reasonably priced.

Breakfast at the hotel is excellent and good value. The staff are very knowledgeable and will give good recommendations. Very helpful for things such as beach towels, papers, taxis etc.

Room was lovely with a fantastic view of the beach and good for people watching in the evenings. Good clean facilities which made the stay very relaxing.

The hotel has free wifi which was very easy to access (used my iPhone) and very reliable so made it easy to keep up with news and emails etc.

“Good hotel ,friendly staff”

Just came back home a few days ago from Malaga. Stayed at Hotel Los Naranjos for a week. A small hotel near the beach,a few minutes walk only and only about 20 min. walk to the old town. Taxi only costs 3,5-4.00€ if you're tired.. Nighttime a bit more.Could recommend this hotel if a 3-star hotel is good enough for you. Had room on the 5th floor, nice wiev to the sea. Breakfast not included but you can order from a small menu, continental or then different things separate, for example huevos fritos con jamon serrano 4,50€ etc. Staff was very friendly, especially a gray-haired man at the reception, sorry, don't know his name.Only paid 68€/night for a double, booked straight to the hotel. In centro historico I can recommend restaurants like O vino Mio in Calle Alamos, Mariano near calle Granada and off course the best tapas in Tapeo de Carvantes.Go there and wont be disappointed.

“OK, but nothing to write home about”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2009

I stayed in this hotel for a few nights in March this year. I agree with some of the other reviews. Overall the location is good, although not dead centre town. This isn't a seafront hotel, but is very close. The triple room we stayed in didn't offer us sea views, which was a disappointment. The price is ok, but not bargain of the century. The staff English wasn't great. Breakfast is probably worth avoiding, isn't that great at all.

Overall an ok hotel, but nothing to write home about.
