A leisurely stroll or take a No. 11 bus to the great and compact city centre of Malaga. The beach at the back of the hotel is a couple of minutes walk. Breakfast nothing special, but fine, nonetheless! Friendly and helpful staff. Safe box in rooms - just ask staff for a key! Limited parking to the front, but can normally find a space nearby!

We almost saw a member of staff smile on day 3... even given that it was the end of the season, the service was poor : we left our luggage in a room with rubbish on the table and a dead cockroach in a stored mattress - even when we told them about it, they couldn't find it. Not a great first impression! On the plus side, the view over the sea was great, rooms were huge and comfortable. The breakfast was OK, but no fresh fruit and only powdered oj...why??

I was very happy with my stay at the Hotel Las Vegas in Malaga. My boyfriend and I got an ocean view room without even requesting it! We also arrived very early, at about 11am but were able to check in by about noon. The hotel staff let us leave our luggage in a closet so that we could walk around. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful when asked.

The room was large with a balcony. The hotel is literally across the street from the Mediterranean Sea. Also, I liked the location of the hotel because it was in a more residential area and made the Spanish experience more authentic. Also, the hotel is a 10 minute walk from downtown Malaga, the Alcazaba, The Gigralfaro Castle (you will have to walk up a mountain though) , and the Roman ampitheater. The hotel is also less than a 2 mile walk to the train station which we used twice for trips to Seville and Madrid. I would also recommend booking a tour through the hotel to Tangiers, Morocco. It is well worth the 100 euro. Another great point to note is that the hotel is a 15 minute drive to the airport or about a 20 euro cab ride. I fell in love with the city of Malaga and I will definitley stay at the Las Vegas Hotel on my next trip.

The only downside to the hotel is that the walls are paper thin. If there is a loud talker or snorer next door, you will hear the noise. If you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend this hotel. However, the location, price, and quality were well worth the conversations I overheard across the walls.

I booked two friends and I paid for (just married) 2 nights at this hotel, between 23/24 and 24/25 July 2010. For airplane flight was changed, we made direct hotel reservation website for another two days, respectively 25/26 and 26/27 July 2010. Their answer was that it's OK, the hotel following the cash to pay 82.5 euros. They came, they paid ... after three days (not four as was paid) were asked to leave the hotel, or pay for another night .... They explained that everything is paid, but did not find understanding, so they pay again for one night!
