We stayed at the NH for two nights at the end of May. It was very close to the old city center and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room itself was a nice size. We had a double with an added bed for our 10 year old. The bathroom was great - nice and modern. We ate at the fabulous breakfast buffet and it was the best breakfast buffet of our entire trip. Lots of variets of hams, sausage, cheese, cereals, yogurt and lots and lots of different types of pastries. It was hard to choose what to have! And our 10 year old was free, which was very nice. They also offer to make omelets and perhaps other types of eggs and I had a very good omelet one morning. That was a nice option. The only very small complaint I would add is that they don't have free wifi service. You get 30 minutes free but after that there is a fee. But, I would definitely stay here again and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

I booked a single room but got a twin. The room is OK, looks clean. But the toilet smells really bad. So as the whole room.

The wall is really really thin. There was a couple keeps talking loudly until mid night.

NH Malaga is a very nice hotel from top to bottom. The location is just a 5-minute walk from the center. The rooms are nice and modern. Front desk is the only blip but it was nothing major.

Location: Right near the center of the city across a short bridge, you can walk to the central shopping area in 5 minutes and the cathedral within 10 minutes. There is a church right next to the hotel whose bells are very loud and ring often. However, once inside the room, the noise could not be heard at all.

Reception/Service: The exterior of the building is a bit boring. However, the reception is nice, large and sunny with a huge waiting area and a separate lounge. We came with no reservation on a Sunday night so the staff strangely, insisted that we pay up front upon check-in despite the fact I had left my credit card details. I rejected this request until I have looked at the room and was satisfied with its condition. That was the only issue. Otherwise, the staff was helpful. You can get unlimited free 15 minute internet session at a terminal in the lobby by getting a voucher from the desk.

Room: Nice and modern and good bathroom with nice toiletries. We asked for a no smoking room but there was a hint of smoke in the hallway. The room was fine though and we have no complaints.

Value: On a Sunday night with no reservation, our rate came to 84 Euros plus tax. The attached garage charged 1.80 Euros per hour with a max of 16 Euros (no in/out). With its central location and quality of the rooms, NH Malaga is a great hotel.

I stayed for business at the NH Malaga for 2 nights. It is a big hotel. I got a very nice big room facing the river. In the room everything was ok, maybe some furniture like the wardrobe at the entrance and the wc and bidet were old fashioned, but in general was a nice room, fair for a 4 stars.
The breakfast was amazing, like all NH hotels in general. Variety, quality and being Andalusia I realized they had some special mini "bocadillos" (sandwiches) typical from there.
Staff friendly in general, I got what I need without waiting too much.
The location is a good point, because in 5 min walking you get to Larios Ave where you find many restaurants and tapas bar at night.
