We stayed here between Christmas and New Year, often a dull time in the UK, but certainly not in Malaga, where there was masses going on - street entertainers, concerts, a fun-run, beautiful Christmas lights etc etc.
The Hotel Alameda is on the 8th floor in the commercial area just off the main Alameda Principal road. Our double room was small but very clean and quite tastefully furnished - perfectly adequate for our five-day stay. The bathroom had a bath with a rather inconvenient shower arrangement over it which we gave up trying to use and had baths instead. We had a slight problem with the heating, which had to be turned on at reception, but this was resolved after some initial hiccups. The staff were very helpful and brought an extra blanket and hairdryer immediately I asked for them.
The Hotel Alameda was a very convenient place to stay. It was just yards from the 19 bus from the airport and a few minutes walk from the old town. It was good to be able to come back in the afternoon and put our feet up before doing the rounds of the numerous tapas bars.
We paid 237 Euros for a double room for five nights, which we thought was good value (breakfast was not provided).
