The room was good but we booked a double and got a twin, cleaned every day, the food is ok but got boring as the week went on, there is a nice beach 800mtr away the sea front at the hotel is poor, you need a car as theres nowhere in walking distance the Hotel is set on the sea
front about 2 miles from Estepona, there lots to see in the area and Gib is only a short drive and makes a good day out, overall its a good 3star

“Lovely Hotel but you need a car to get around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

Stayed here for 1 week 9th to 16th October, Hotel upgraded our room on arrival to a sea view so was very pleased. Nice quiet spacious room, lovely bacony. The hotel is situated right on the beach with lovely views. Pool area very nice, also very peaceful, all we could hear was the waves lapping the shore.
Breakfast was excellent, dinner was good but I was dissapointed in the choice of sweets, I have stayed in H10 hotels before and the choice has always been excellent. Table Staff in the dining room could have smiled more often, it all seemed to be too much effort for them, except for the older gentlemen waiter who was very efficient and friendly.
Overall a great holiday for the money, the weather was fantastic and I would definately go to this hotel again, we had a car so visited lots of places in the area, Spain is a very interesting country.

Room Tip: Higher floor with sea view, worth the extra money.

“Brilliant hotel - Totally Spoilt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

My family and I stayed at the Estepona Palace from the 02oct11 - 07oct11 and had a brilliant six days!
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them to do or help with. Champagne was given on arrival and it was lovely.
The food was superb. Something different every morning and night. Certain foods that were on offer that day were cooked at special request while you waited. The choice was excellant. Everything was cooked to a high standard and there was so much choice from very simple food to something a little different. Champagne was available for breakfast free of charge - what a treat!
Our room was on the 4th floor and had a lovely sea view. It was cleaned daily with fresh towels and beds made. I even did the white glove test for dust and there was nothing in the room, corridors or stairways.
The pool had two waterfalls which were nice to see and the pool bar was a very relaxing area to sit in and enjoy the late afternoon sun. Drinks were not over the top in price but local drinks were obviously cheaper - such as sangria and local beer.
The hotel is a little isolated but after the indulgent meals the walk to the port and town centre was welcome and a taxi for the return journey was only 4.50euros. The walk was very scenic on a dedicated path with lovely views over the bay.
Disappointing that the local authorities had stopped the local village bus to the hotel and the bus provided by the local tourist board only went late afternoon.
The tourist information centre near the port could not have been more helpful. The lady printed maps for us and gave us plently of information on getting round and about and things to see.
Estepona is very spanish and has not been changed to become a tourist hot spot for holiday makers which makes it a refreshing change. The beaches are clean and so so empty you can have your choice of spot to sit.
The hotel has direct access to a beach complete with sunbeds if you dont feel like moving far.
The reception area of the hotel is massive and spans three floors. The furniture is all over sized and very comfy to people watch from.
Overall a brilliant holiday - the previous reviews did cause a little concern but after the week we had in my opinion they were unjustified and we would go back again without a doubt. I have never left a review before but because of how enjoyable the holiday was i wanted to pass that on to other holiday makers.
Hope this helps people who are looking to go there!

“Looks good but very disappointed”

Booked all inclusive at Esteponia Palace but found out you could only have certain drinks/ limited food and icecream from the snack bar.Food choice was very poor, always the same choices and never hot.Staff very unpolite in the resturant and the tables were never cleared or set properly. The room we were given was on the ground floor next to a seated area which was a bit noisey at night and we had to have the maintenance man in four times in two days to various repairs,we asked for another room but were told there were no rooms till four days later, we received no contact from reception regarding this.Overall a very disappointing holiday

Room Tip: Go for the higher rooms facing the sea but be prepared to pay extra for this

“Could do with a shuttle bus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

Booked half board. Glass of wine with evening meal 3.80 euros, 3.50 euros for large beer, 2.80 euros for small beer. Bottle of water - 3.50 euros, which was really disappointing as expected water to be available with evening meal. Staff really friendly and helpful. Walk to marina approx 20 min, town approx 30 min. Uphill all the way back - very slow when weather is hot. Shops open in town 10-2pm and 5-9 or 10pm. Not much to do in hotel if weather not good, usually a rush to evening meal if weather is cloudy. Gibraltar 50 min bus ride away. Estepona town centre tourist information very unhelpful - talked with back to us. Tourist information approx 5-10 in away on way into town on opposite side of road - very helpful. Took 9am express bus to La Linea and then walked into Gibraltar (approx 15 min). Buy return ticket on arrival at La Linea just in case bus is full on return journey. Bus station almost in Estepona town - not very well signed. Beds a bit hard. Some really nice walks but need shoes for parts of the beach. Some nice sandy beaches approx 10 min away on coastline, but also parts of sharp shingle and pebbles.

Thoroughly enjoyed.
