“Deteriorated”

Like other reviewers we have been going for years & were tempted to buy in the 90's.Glad we didn't!Now more like a retirement village. Bar staff very rude & unhelpful. Jacuzzi now tatty, pool far too cold and despite attempts at renovation is going downhill esp. since the shuffleboard area and tennis court have gone. Give this place a miss now.

“September 2011”

Lovely apartment (#196) and weather to match. The only disappointment was that the restaurant bar lacked a full-time professional bar person and as such the bar area lacked atmosphere. The food was good though but the service was desperately slow and not up to standard at all. There is so much potential there if the restaurant was organised better.

Now Renato's beach bar was very hospitable and a good meeting place.

Went to Gibraltar for the day. Drive there BUT park up on the Spain side on the RHS just before the crossing. 5 Euro cost and then walk across. Took the Gibraltar tour for 25 Euro per person. Good value and enjoyable.

Drive to Ronda too up in the hills. Takes about an hour but the views and true Spain come shining through.

Would stay at Costa Natura again but probably only for a week unless the above bar was buzzing.

Room Tip: Get a room on the first floor like #196 as you can leave the windows open all day!

“Costa Natura a place to chill out without your clothes on”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

My wife and I stayed at Costa for a week in May and the ambience and friendliness of the many residents and fellow visitors made us feel right at home. The resort is quite compact and the qualityof the interior furnishings of each apartment varies considerably. This is because the apartments are owned by private individuals who obviously have different tastes. The grounds are a delight with many lovely flowers and perfectly manicured sunbathing lawns. There are several regular activities such as yoga and petanque. The pool and hot tub are popular too. We found the only downside was the very poor service in Manolos restaurant, we waited an hour for our food and when it finally came it was virtually inedible. We soon learned and ate out at the many good local restaurants that are in walking distance nearby. Renato's kiosk at the entrance to the beach is however good value and serves excellent cocktails and good food. The town of Estapona is a short bus ride away and well worth exploring as its Spanish essence has not been diluted like many of the resorts on the Costa del Sol as it is very popular with the Spanish people. The resort has many permanent residents who have mostly retired there but the summer months sees an influx of many different nationalities and obviously it is much busier in the highseason. We recommend Costa Natura for those who wish to holiday where they can practice a relaxing naturist lifestyle and still be in reach of popular places to visit. We will visit many times again in the future and we hope they residents committee sort out the restaurant.

“Been going for years !”

We have been going every year for the past 12 years . Was much better in the early 90s up until a new management took over there 6 years ago and sacked all the best staff for what i have no idea since then it has gone downhill. Very glad i didn't buy as the politics of the place are complicated for owners and frustrating poor souls. Its a special place for us and have met many nice friends there but my biggest dislike is the restaurant and staff lack of care for guests and the whole place needs a revamp too old fashioned .

“We love the place BUT....”

This is the second time we get to this wonderful site.
Like every time we gave a very nice and we fit even a large apartment than what we ordered.
The atmosphere is wonderful and very friendly people.
Stay in the pool area was very pleasant.
Local food is absolutely wonderful restaurant.
And the atmosphere in the evening was a joy.
Two things that really annoyed us are:
1. Decision to charge for Internet connection. When we were told in advance that no cost. Referral from the Web page that comes inside the guest to contact the office. I mean only when you can purchase time activity.
Today everywhere is a free web hotel that is a staple for every traveler. And offers site administrators to reconsider charging money.
2. Another thing that is new is the collection of half a euro for a chaise longue by the pool and that half day.
