“NICE HOTEL, EXCELLENT STAFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Had a 1 night stay at the Kempinksi hotel on a recent trip to Spain, Having our own home there we decided to just book in for a 1 night stay DBB for a change. The staff were very welcoming and spoke good english, The rooms are big light and airy, and spotless clean, The bathrooms are lovely with nice toiletries. We had lunch in the garden restaurant, They were just closing however the very kind waiter assured us that it was fine and took our order of a club sandwich and 2 glasses of wine, very nice area to sit and relax, thank goodness we ordered 1 sandwich between us..it was huge and very tasty. a little expensive but worth it, and just what you would expect to pay 5*. Dinner was also lovely, the staff are very well informed about their menu, and are very attentive without being intrusive. Wine and beer prices are just what you would pay in a city centre bar. The hotel was quiet and the weather wasnt the best, but it did not spoil our stay. Breakfast again was great, loads of choice, lovely relaxing background music and very helpful staff, certainly do not rush you. Might be different July/Aug Would I stay again...YES.

“Great service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

The people make this Kempinski hotel special. Great attention to detail, they make you feel good and comfortable. The gastronomic restaurant is outstanding, but all the others serve very good food, too. Do not stay on the East side, the highway is noisy. We were assigned a room there, immediately asked for a change and were very happy with the new room.

Dear Guests,
Thank you for your positive and brief comment. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and comment so positivekly on our staff, which makes me proud to be here.
We have some few deluxe standard rooms, which are less expensive, but face the highway in front of the hotel. So its worth to upgrade to a better category.
We all look forward to welcoming you again in the neatr future to our resort.
With kind regards,

“Great Luxury Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

I recently spent a long weekend with my girlfriend in the Kempinski, the hotel and it's grounds are stunning, rooms are large and spacious with a particularly big bath room. Even though we didn't opt for a sea view, the basic rooms face down the beach so you can still see the sea from the balcony. Staff are all very polite and willing to go the extra mile to fulfill any requests which we had.

Only negatives are the price (not cheap), rooms don't have their own ironing boards and we found the walls fairly thin (we could hear the neighbouring room's guests when they laughed or spoke loudly).

Dear Guests,
Thank you very much for your valuable comment on your stay. I appreciate your positive comments on our friendly and efficient staff and the hotel's facilities.
We do not offer ironing boards do to the damage this can bring to rooms, and offer ironing service via our Housekeeping department. My apologies for the noise transmission between your room and neighbouring room.
I hope to be able to welcome you again soon,
With kind regards

“New Years Stay”

We have been to this hotel a few times before and would gladly go again. It is wonderful, with fantastic architecture and sublime views out over the med. The gardens are a delight and the rooms spacious and luxurious. In the main the staff are curteous though at the bar it can be a bit slow and once they were a little rude, though they apologied later. A little tip is to use the upper outside swimming pool as this is heated whilst the inside pool is freezing.

Dear Guests,
Thank you for your valuable feedback on your last stay with us and I appreciated your comments, especially being a regular guest of ours, on the quality of staff and the resort product.
My apologies for the negative incident you had at the bar, not knowing what it was, I always appreciate a direct feedback to solve a problem instantly. But thank you for bringing it up.
The indoor and outdoor swimming pool are both kept at 26ºC, according to the Spanish law, but the indoor pool feels cooler due the warm room temperature, and during winter the outdoor pool seems warmer due to the cold air.
I hope that you and your family will return soon again to Kempinski Hotel Bahía and it would be nice to meet then.
With kind regards,

“Hotel and especially suites 5*, location and food 3*... Overall 4*”

Excellent views and great service are definite features... However, the off-motorway location that's slightly harder to turn into than its competition in Marbella and somewhat average food detract from the overall experience. Estepona itself is also a little removed from all the action

Room Tip: Do pay extra for the view - worth it!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback on your stay, which I much appreciated, especially highlighting our great service and excellent views from the hotel.
We have just recently received new road signage to ease the exit to the hotel. The "action" of Puerto Banús will also move closer to the hotel, when the construction on the underpath tunnel in Marbella San Pedro will be completed, which should happen soon.
I hope to be able to welcome you soon again,
With kind regards,
