Not a true 4 star hotel, Spa small and cramped, Gym a disgrace- machines broken, damp, corroded machines (but the spa staff were nice) and it was the first time in my life I was told to use a Microwave in the Restaurant to over cook my bacon, and no way near the Golf Course..(the pic's on their website are misleading)...However,
They changed my room without a problem, the food was OK with some days turning out better then average. The front desk staff were excellent - food and drink prices OK, and the town of Antequera turned out to be a amazing, I have to say, even though this was probability one of the worse 4 star hotels i have stayed in....... my wife and I had one of the best times we have ever had both in and out of the Hotel !!!

Stayed at the hotel with a Page & Moy “A week in Andalusia” trip. We took a junior suite and were very happy with the large room, effective air-conditioning and large bathroom with turbobath & shower. The restaurant food was good. Breakfast to satisfy every taste from full English through to continental and Spanish. We were on half board and though we thought there could have been more greens on the evening cold and hot tables there was a great choice every night including various cooked meats and fish.
Staff were cheerful and helpful, bar service good and rooms well tended.
Antequera is about 15 minutes walk and a nearest supermarket about 10 minutes – Google street view was taken at least a couple of years ago & trees are bigger and some further housing developments now completed.
Do not forget your corkscrew, non in room.

We spent one night here (transferred from Convento de la Magdalena) and were delighted to return to Convento the next night! The suite was fine and the terrace view was lovely as long as you looked up at the mountains rather than down onto the car park and roundabout. There were just too many people there for our liking, however, and the food was pretty grim - enormous plates of bacon swimming in fat and lurking around for hours at breakfast was just too much! The free flamenco show next to the pool in the evening was mildly amusing! The staff were friendly and helpful, however, and the location's convenient. I'd stay there on business, but when I go on holiday it's not at all what I have in mind.

Went to this hotel on a tour from Page and Moy. It was ideally placed to go to various cities as the journeys were in around a little over an hour. At first sight it was disappointing as I didn't expect such a modern hotel in this part of Andalucia. The staff were friendly and helpful at reception. The food varied from evening to evening but mostly it was good with a wide choice. My complaint was that it sometimes was a bit too cold. I also did not expect the dining room to open at eight o'clock. I was often hungry when I returned from trips and wanted my meal earlier!!!!!! The bedroom was clean and a good size but the view from the window was a large tree. I would have preferred a balcony room as other people on the tour liked this aspect. There was always clean towels and the bathroom was good with an excellent shower. In spite of some of these bad points we had an excellent time helped hugely by a fantastic tour guide who assisted with any difficulties large or small. What a gem Page and Moy have in Sheila.
