This is a Five star hotel – in that is its facilities match 5 star official standards - but this is not the only factor involved in judging a hotel - That said the facilities are excellent and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The girls on reception even arranged flowers for our anniversary and were very charming. We visit annually. The beach is difficult to beat - the pool spectacular - the premier rooms particularly good - and the choice for breakfast is amazing – I suspect full board food is a little dull although we always eat in the a la carte restaurant - not cheap but the solomillo is unbeatable - not impressed with the sommelier – not very knowledgeable - had to send the red wine back twice - too cold. Difficult to find outside restaurants or Chinguitos nearby - (try Trebeca - turn left as you get onto the beach and walk as far as the Torre - fun inventive and smart) - Do not expect an intimate boutique hotel - this is a big hotel one of the many at Sancti Petri – (a large resort complex) - It is one of the best of the Melia group, a well organised chain of hotels used to looking after large numbers of guests particularly families -this is real Spain and most of the guests are Spanish - bar and drink prices are on the high side – Best for sun, beach golf and looking after families in comfort
