My husband and I visited the Barrosa Gardens in September this year on a last minute deal. This was via a well known English company. All inclusive (which we normally would not take). We found Nova Santa Petri a nice area and the beaches very good.
The hotel is clean food very good and service very good. Although fully inclusive (which I must admit was excellent value) this did
not mean inferior alcohol and food. We were also able to have a 2 night change of venue for our evening meal at the Restaurant Mediterrane and also an Tapas Restaurant both located inside the Barrosa Gardens. There is adequate facilities for the pool area and also a small gymnasium, indoor ten pin bowling, and 6 internet terminals which was all included. Bike were also included in the price should you wish to use them and outside the hotel there is a bike lane on the roads which are not busy anyway, at least not in September! Also towels and safe deposit boxes were all included.
The entertainment in the evening was a bit below par, although the team did try and do there best, and I do not think there is a disco in the hotel for late night bopping if you want. The bus service is very good to Cadiz and to Chichalana (we normally always hire a car - but did not bother). Opposite the hotel is a small commerical centre for a change of scenary and very close to the hotel are golf courses.
The hotel had quiet a lot of Spanish people and Germans and I believe that the English have only been introduced to this via this company this year.
Well worth a visit for a relaxing week's holiday.
