“Lovely romantic hotel, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Found this hotel through tripadvisor reviews. Only stayed one night but wished we had stayed more. The consierge Joey gave us a guided tour and was extremely informative and passionate about the building. We splashed out on a superior room and we were not disappointed. The room was large with beautiful frescos on the walls which depicted the scenes from Don Quixote. Apparently they were found when the hotel was being converted from a private house. We didn't eat in the restaurant which has a fantastic glass floor which looks down onto a roman mosaic. There are so many features to this lovely hotel it certainly should not be missed. It is a little tricky to find but is truly worth the hunt. Car parking is a problem but once again Joey came to the rescue and personally helped us with the car park. This is a wonderful place to stay, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Choose the best room you can afford.

“Lovely hotel, excellent service”

What I liked most about this hotel was the warm, genuine service, especially from the front desk staff. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable, without being intrusive. The Roman baths were delightful, especially the twinkling star lights in the roof. Very relaxing. Our room was quiet and spacious. The reading room was very special with a stunning ceiling. And the whole hotel smelt lovely, kind of like aromatherapy oils, but not strongly-scented, very subtle. Candle-lit by night. And you are just far enough out of town to be peaceful, yet historic Cordoba is 5 minutes walk away through winding streets and squares. A lovely break.

“Beautiful property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

firstly, i agree with the previous review that if getting to the hotel by car it is very hard to find due to cordoba's one way system.
however, once you enter the hotel, all is forgotten
the concierge was excellent, making our arrival very comfortable and taking us on a guided tour of the hotel.
The rooms were spacious and well appointed, our bathroom was absolutely huge!
The pool is lovely, although not many sunbeds for the amount of guests.
The arab baths were fun to visit, free, although one has to book in advance.
Hotel location, although a little out of the centre, is an easy walk to the main attractions.
Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of fruit, pastries etc.
The roman ruins under the main dining room was also an interesting feature of the hotel.
There is also a free computer that guests can use.
i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

“Enchanting, magical place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Superb, magical hotel in the heart of Cordoba. Staff are friendly and efficient, rooms beautiful, gardens and outdoor spaces quiet and relaxing. Had an evening meal in the restaurant, food was really good, room with glass floor over roman mosaics stunning.

Only frustration was finding the place, not the easiest; hopefully I'll find it more easily when I return!

Room Tip: Detailed directions essential to find it!

“Incredible hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

This is a 5 stars beautiful design hotel, rooms are gorgeous and bathrooms are big (with Korres toiletries). Bring your bathing suit and try the mineral baths in the spa (the building has had these baths since roman times)
Staff is really nice, we spent new Years here and the food in the restaurant was great and they had a belly dancer, a guitarist, singer and flamenco dancer which made the wait quite entertaining.
The hotel is not in the old city centre but it's maybe a 10 minute walk
Would totally recommend this hotel
