The location is really very good, close to the main places of interest but in a quiet street. The staff are very friendly but I met nobody speaking English. And for me it was strange that tey had taken the money from my card for the whole stay by the moment I had arrived. The room was rather small, especially bathroom. And I was unlucky, because at the first night there was a group of people with a lot of small children celebrating something at the restaurant. (they weren't staying at the hotel)< so it was incredibly noisy and impossible to sleep, so I had to spend the night at the bar till 2 a.m. untill the left. Thank goodness the barmen was very nice and didn't let me feel bored. But in general, it's a good choise for this money.

A bit "out of the way" for some, it was actually quite convenient for us. The location enabled us to walk around and see parts of the city we might not have otherwise, discovering a great deal of places frequented by locals, rather than tourists. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The air conditioning was surprisingly strong for a modest European hotel (it came in quite handy in the middle of July). Our stay was quiet and charming and superbly affordable.

Oh! And a word of advice, if you're a...larger? bigger? person, the shower may be a bit uncomfortable. My love is 6'1 with a broad athletic build and he expressed some frustration about the size of the shower. Other than that, there is the matter of sharing a single long pillow (difficult for two people who generally sleep with arms tucked under his/her respective pillow), but it was otherwise pleasant.Other than a strongly-worded disagreement with the proprietor regarding an unauthorized charge to my credit card two days before our departure (and a day after our arrival), the hotel served its purpose perfectly.

Do NOT miss Taberna Salinas nearby. We had dinner 3 out of 4 nights there and the owner, wait staff, and gentleman at the bar were delightful, hospitable, and genuine. And the food? Superb!

We loved the location of this place, surrounded by small charming streets and squares and easily walkable. The restaurant seemed like it was always closed and the staff didn't have much to offer in advice, but everything was clean and well maintained. The view from our window was great, too. We would definitely stay here again.

stayed here for 3 nights with friends in July,cannot fault hotel for location. Rooms abit dark and basic but exceptionally clean. Bar open in evenings only but lovely terrace to sit out on and watch the horse drawn carriages go by,but the horses had a great difficulty sliding on the cobbles at the turn of the street outside. Staff were not over enthusiastic and we had problems with the keys fitting our room lock, but really no problem Only on a room only basis, so cannot comment on the breakfast, but as we seemed to be the only people there ,we did not see any signs of breakfast being laid out or served. All in all for what we paid we found this a bargain and if you areonly staying a few nights would not hesistate to recommend the hotel. If you are travelling by car getting to hotel and parking may be a bit difficult,once again for peace and tranquility hotel does score high points!
