“What a great find!”

Thanks to TA, we booked El Churrasco for 2 nights in October 2011 durung a trip to Andalucia, and we were not disappointed! From the taxi ride from the train station through the incredibly narrow streets ( still dont know how the taxi got through the hotel's street without getting scratched !), to the checkin and the room ( wow), the breakfast, dinner at the nearby restaurant associated with the hotel......everything was a five star experience. Position was within 5 minutes to all the major sights, and allowed us to have the most magical time in the old town....the restaurants nearby were all winners. One of our most highly rated experiences on this trip.

Room Tip: our room was on the street level, we thought it would be noisy, but it was OK

“Perfect”

Spent one night, and wished we'd planned to stay two. Exceedingly charming and clean -- very decorated, but we didn't think it was at all "kitsch." Very very quiet -- and we were there on the annual all-night flamenco festival, with a 4 am performance happening around the corner. Staff helped us visit the Madinat al Zahra archaeological site nearby, which is a must-see. Travellers: mom and teenage son.

“Great choice”

Thanks again, Trip Advisers. My wife and I stayed two nights. Ditto all the positive reviews. Great location, large room, modern bath, friendly staff. Also ditto the heads- up on parking.Get explicit directions and have a skilled navigator. Once you find your way to the front door you can park for a few minutes in the wide spot on the narrow street while you check in. Ask the desk clerk to park car for you & bring it back when you check out.

Lovely hotel with friendly service. Big, modern bathrooms. Great location for seeing sites. We only stayed one night, but I would have liked to stay longer.

“Nice place if a little too kitsch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

The location of this little 9 room boutique hotel is great, right inside the Judería (old Jewish quarters of Córdoba). The building is fantastic with its patios and white walls, however the decoration is sometimes over the top and far far too kitsch. Having said that we were very happy there, especially because of the location. Breakfast was good. The restaurant nearby of the same name and belonging to the same owners, is spectacular and there is nothing kitsch about it either or the winery (bodega) next door which is well worth the visit. Here many a famous people have eaten, including the ex President of France, Jacques Chirac. We heard too that the King of Spain had eaten there too and also slept at the hotel for a siesta to get over the copious meal.
Getting to the car park of the hotel (and restaurant of the same name) is an adventure in itself. We thought our car would get stuck between the narrow walls but we made it. The alternative is the park in the centre and walk from there to the hotel.
