Santa Ana Hostal is very easy to find if you are using public transport: we travelled from Seville by train to Cordoba, stepped onto a local bus and then walked barely 5 minutes to the Hostal. Our room was located above the street which rang with the sounds of tour groups, horse and carriage rides, the garbage men and council workers hosing the streets in the wee small hours! Airconditioning is provided so windows can be closed if necessary.
The Mesquita is a few minutes away along the narrow cobbled street, lined with cafes and small shops, and worthy of an early start - free entry between 8.30am and 10am - and a long stay. Also within walking distance are Callejon de las Flores - street of flowers-, Puorto Romano the 3 Arabic windmills and Arabic water wheel, Torre de la Calahorra, Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos - (pools, water features and beautiful gardens), Palacio de Viana, Plaza de la Corredera.
Much construction work is being done for 'Cordoba - Cultural city of Europe' in 2016.
Free wifi, clean rooms, ensuites, hearty breakfast is available and was served on the Terrace for our group of 4.
