“Nice Hotel, quite noisy.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2009

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel itself is quite nice and the room was nice and clean. Poor sound insulation though. Didn't appreciate the cleaners yelling at each other in the hallway and making a racquet at 7:45am or the supermarket delivery truck dropping off the morning supplies outside our room at 7:00am. Makes it hard to get into the Spanish culture of staying up late and sleeping in with the noise!

“OK, but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2009

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in the hotel for 1 night recently. The room was a bit on the small side for 4 of us.

The breakfast was OK.

There is a Eroski supermarket behind the hotel.

“not for tour groups....or hungry guests”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2008

Stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a large tour group.
First impressions.....newish, clean hotel. Good lifts, great room!
All is going so well until our group is sat down to dinner.
Then........warm soup, cold chips, lukearm everything else....and then the ice cream is served on hot plates.....you could not make it up!
The previous reviewer was not happy that the "restaurant" is only available to groups.....well you were lucky.
We tried the bar...they had one bottle of beer (not cold) and the "barman" left after serving three people and did not appear again.
Second night.....same problems...it seems that the food is not prepared on the premises....I suspect it is only re-heated here....if at all.
Third night....we gave up and ate in Cordoba, and had an excellent night.....there are some lovely Moorish courtyard restaurants near the Mezquita.....the rest of the group toughed it out (because it had been paid for!) and were still getting more of the same.
The supermarket at the rear of the hotel does very good business from hungry guests, and there are several "locals" bars nearby around the housing estates....you can get decent tapas there if you have not been fed at the hotel.
Overall.....an attractive hotel, but it has no facilities, and I cannot see why anyone would choose this over the other Eurostars hotel located in the city centre.
It is certainly NOT suitable for tour groups.

“Facilities NOT available - bad location”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2007

This hotel was a big disappointment.
Location is poor with a half an hour walk to centre. Room was incredibly noisy overlooking a very noisy road, with view of derelict building and gypsy site opposite. Restaurant was NOT available unless you were in a group. The 'bar' is actually a few stool in the reception area. Room service consists of a pizza take out being delivered. The room safe didnt work. There was no air conditioning and the room was too hot. Bathroom was nice however(!). It is too expensive and should be downgraded due to lack of facilities.

“Good but not 4 stars”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2006

Just came back from 3 nights at Ciudad Cordoba.

Location is not that great and not in the town centre, it will take you around 20-25 minutes to reach Mezquita and more than 30 minutes walk from down town.

However the bedroom are good. They are spacious and well clean. Furniture are quite new as the rest of the hotel. Air conditioning work very well and you need it because it is very hot other there !
But soundproofing is not that good, we were facing the front, right outside a busy road and we could here all the noise.

For a 4stars I was disapointed with the amenities provided. No tissue, neither a bar of soap but toothbrush and toothpaste were provided (something rare in nowadays)!

On the second night , it was raining a lot and decided to stay in and used the hotel's restaurant, but they could not accomodate us because they had a coach group ! So we had to order room service, which is actually calling an external pizza delivery (similar to Pizza Hut). Basicaly this hotel doesnt have a bar, neither a proper room service, and a restaurant who cannot take his own guest because they have coaches !

Definately not a 4 star service !

But hey the room are clean and pretty new, if thats what you looking for, go for it.
