Very easy to find, plenty of parking available on the streets around (don't go for the hotel parking - you can get 24hr parking just round the corner for 0.90 euros).
Despite what others have said I didn't find the hotel run down or shabby at all.
The hotel is very close to Juderia & Mesquita (within 5 minutes walk).
Would go back again if in Cordoba

Cordoba was our 2nd stop in Spain. After Granada which we adored and the lovely stay at the Hotel Melia Granada, I was rather hesitant at checking into the Tryp Cordoba especially after having read some of the reviews. At the time of booking there was a very good promotional rate on at the Sol Melia hotels so I made a quick decision to try out the Melia hotels.
We took the coach from Granada and it was a very comfortable and pleasant ride followed by a short taxi ride from the bus station.
Entering the hotel I did not find the girl at Reception very welcoming. My first impression was this was a drab compared to the Melia Granada! On entering our room I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was clean and certainly not a great let down. The view from the window ovelooked the fountain in the street with the mountain as backdrop. I had actually wished for a view of the Mesquita.
The aircon did not work but the they sent a technician immediately although he could not get it working. I also complained about the internet in the lobby not working but unfortunately during our 3 night stay it had not been mended. The man at reception was very helpful and gave me a choice of rooms to move to and there was one with a view of the Mesquita only my husband had decided he could not be bothered to move rooms and he preferred the fountain view! And so the fountain view took prominence over the Mesquita! We did not opt for breakfast with our booking but as we were only just across the road into the city quarters leading to all the restaurants we had a very good selection to choose from.
We missed our usual cuppa tea and coffee so room service was relied upon to relinquish our craving. The service was very quick and tea came no sooner than we had replaced the receiver.
We decided to have dinner at the restaurant one evening and although there was a crowd having drinks at the bar, we had excellent service and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with wine, dessert and coffee. The restaurant was very comfortable and so was the bar area where we frequented for a refreshing beer on our return from the town to rest our weary feet after hours of sightseeing.
We did not need the aircon as the weather got cooler and we left the windows open all night. The shower looked abit archaic but gave the most powerful spray you could wish for! The beds were comfortable and we did have a pleasant stay. The prices at the restaurant and room service were very reasonable and so if you stay in a 3/4 star hotel, this is the bonus!
In fact my husband who is normally pretty fussy about hotels was quite happy with this especially as it gave us a pleasant walk back after our meals so he preferred it to being right in the city quarters. We found that we could catch a bus to the station as the bus stop was just across the road from the hotel so that was very convenient. Overall for the price we paid I think we had a very good deal and were happy. The location was certainly very central to exploring the old quarters and the magnificent Mesquita. We felt quite relaxed during our 3 night stay.

My wife & I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in early September having travelled from Zaragoza via Madrid by the excellent Spanish train service.
Being well travelled in life, feel that I need to share our experiences of our stay at this hotel.= which should come with a warning - DO NOT STAY HERE! To summarize:-

Location: Within walking distant of the town centre and tourist sites

Hotel Foyer: Dated but nice

Room: 2 single beds pushed together as a double bed, plastic covers over the mattresses which are both uncomfortable and hot & sweaty to lie on, scruffy decor, dirty room, dated furniture, noisy aircon & poor room service

Pool: Wet
Pool Area: Filthy, food & drinks glasses discarded & remained there for the duration of our stay. Cats messing on the broken sun lounge beds, tables & sunloungers filthy to the point of being dangerous to ones health
Pool Service: Non-existant

Hotel Service: Unhelpful & lazy bar staff. Do not dare to ask for a glass of ice - that means the barman has to go on a 5 min walk to the kitchen which really puts him in a good mood!

There's much better hotels than this dump: don't waste any precious days of your holiday by staying here - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

The facilities are tattered and worn, But can not beat the location and overall not so bad espacialy for the great price.
