Nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff who speak English. A map of the city was immediately produced. marked up with what we should see and the best places for tapas according to guests recommendation. Large clean room with large new ensuite. Excellent breakfast included in our room rate. Dinner at €10.95 for 3 courses and a generous glass of wine was the best deal we could find in Cordoba and the service was quick and friendly.
Good free parking. Missed the hotel on the first pass as it is screened by a high hedge of Bougainvillea.Look for the petrol station and you are almost there!

If you are looking for a convenient, inexpensive and comfortable place from which to explore Cordoba, look no further. As others have said, ignore the star rating as the hotel certainly deserves more. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the facilities are excellent. There is no doubt that you would pay a lot more if the hotel was the other side of the river, but the walk, or short taxi ride to the Roman Bridge, gives direct access to all the sights of this lovely city, without the hassle of parking your car. We will definitely book again in the future.

First: I have no idea where the one-star rating comes from, because I have stayed at 3-star hotels that were much much worse than the Oasis. The room and bathroom were very large and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. There's a large free parking lot, which is a great bonus. There's also a good-sized swiming pool. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once: it tasted great and cost next-to-nothing: we had a 3-course menu for 11 Euro per person including one drink. You can't top that.
I must deduct points for two reasons: one, you walk approx. 20-30 minutes to the Mezquita. Not sure if there are buses that take you there directly. Two: the hotel is obviously pretty old and unfortunately the walls are not sound-insulated and are very, very thin. It's as if your neighbors were in the room with you. So your night rest depends on the habits and good (or poor) education of other guests. In this regard, we were not lucky. The two gentlemen in the room next to ours arrived around minight, sang (yes, SANG) Spanish songs at the top of their lungs and then watched loud TV for approx. one hour. Only to begin again at 6 am (both with the singing and the TV). We slept approx. 3 hours (and so did the other guests in our corner, I bet). Obviously, it is not the hotel's fault, but the walls are really non-existent.
So. If you are a sound sleeper and a good walker, go to the Oasis and enjoy very good value for your money.

could not believe it was a one-star, we have stayed in three/four & five star hotels all around the world . this place was better than some three stars and indeed one four star i have happened to stay in. excellent value, very friendly staff who had excellent english. 25-30 mins into center. parking as well. for £35 odd pound per double room/per night absolutely great value. we had a breakfast & lunch (meal of the day 10euros) which was fine. staff were extremely helpful, my mrs left her purse (with cards) & my pretty expensive sunglasses in the dining hall, they just held them for us till we came and claimed them the next day. This is not the Hilton, but if you are the type of people who like centrally located/reasonably priced/clean/friendly/helpful staff, with pool and parking, then i thoroughly recommend this place. Bring your headphones so you do not have to listen to the traffic by the pool though!
