“Best location in Córdoba”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

The hotel is very nice and the breakfast is very good. The room floor was marble - thanks God, because we are allergic. The room size is really small for a triple but would be OK for a double. The location is the best we could ask for: just in front of the Mezquita. t's not a 4* for American standarts, but I would say that it is in the interior of Spain. The building is an old one, but nicely refurbished - my son told me it reminds him the hotel from "The Shining", but I think it's very charming.
The only downside was the lady in the restaurant the didn't allow my son to bring one apple from the restaurante (during the breakfast). We usually bring it to the bedroom to clean it properly. I think that atitude was kind of rude because we were not filling a picnic basket!

“Unexpected Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We had a short stay in Cordoba and looks for a hotel close to the Masque so we could see it the morning we had to leave. To our Suprise it was literally across the street. It was do close there are excavations of the old building inside the hotel you can see. There is also a Michelin rated restaraunt located near the SE corner of the Mausque that was some of the best food we had in Spain.

“Good location, that is all...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

The hotel is in front of the Cathedral and it is very convenient for walking around Córdoba atractions. Rooms are outdated and have a 70's style. Staff is ok but nothing extraordinary. It has an underground parking (do not use your GPS, entre the street inn front of the Alcazar and push the intercomm to tell that you go to the hotel: the fence will be opened).

“Wonderful location... beds could be better.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

This hotel is in the best possible location. When you step out of the hotel you walk right into the Mequitza. The Jewish Quarter is filled with shops and restaurants. Another benefit is that the traffic is limited. Only cars with business in the quarter are allowed to drive through these streets because they are rather tight. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast had a nice selection. You can eat inside the dining room or out in the courtyard, which was my choice because I love the sounds of fountains. The hotel was very clean. Our bathroom was huge. The rest of the room was nice, albeit a little small. We didn't mind because most of our time was spent exploring the city. The only complaint we had for this hotel is that the beds weren’t the most comfortable. They were a little too hard and flat for our tastes. Free wi-fi in the room was a plus. All things considered, I would return to this hotel. I just don’t think you can beat the location and the great staff.

“Location,location,location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Allow about one hour to drive round the city trying to over-ride the sat nav! Call the hotel and they will guide you in!
Once inside, it is calm and efficient, with friendly staff. If you are driving get there midday as they have limited underground parking.
Breakfast bar is excellent.
The room we had was relatively small but I didn't need much more than a bed and bath.
Very hard bed but that as food for curing a backache.
View from room 133 was a wall with peeling paint, not very attractive so if you want to see some good views from your bedroom window, suggest you ask the reception staff
To give you a good view.
Biggest complaint is that the plumbing is too noisy and the walls too thin. Listening to other people use the toilet in the next bedroom or the one above us was not particularly conducive to a nights rest.
Yes I would stay again but now I know what to request when booking!
