I stayed in Torreluz III for 8 nights while attending a conference at the university, in the newly renovated 5th floor. By looking north out my window I could see the Alcazaba which was a great bonus. Their breakfast is a typical for Spain but a great option. The Taberna next to the lobby is a great first stop on a tapas tour of Almeria, just head south on any of the streets parallel to Paseo de Almeria for more!
One warning: they are currently remodeling floors 2-4 (July 2011) and said it would be several months before they are done. This means there is a lot of hammering noise until about 8pm weekdays, so jetlag napping might not be possible here until late 2011. I don't know if this is the case for the Torreluz II which is in a nearby building.
