Hotel - good. The rooms were clean and a good size with clean bathrooms and large beds. Service ranged from acceptable to very pleasant and the restaurant buffet breakfasts were great - jamón serrano (not the cheap York stuff) and a coffee machine which grinds the beans freshly before serving hot :-)
Only slight disadvantage was the walking distance from the city centre (about 30 minutes to the main seafront) but if you don't want to take a car there are a range of buses nearby and the fares are only €1.
This was a special promotion "2 nights for 1" from Vodafone España and has favourably affected the 'value' score. I'm not sure that we'd usually want to pay the normal 'offer' price for a hotel that far from the centre.
Curious staff in a nearby sandwich shop who obviously had great difficulty getting their heads round an English person who could speak Spanish reasonably well -real 'pueblo' mentality, one can only assume that "angloparlantes" don't usually beat a track to *their* establishment!
