My husband, teenage daughter and I spent three days in this 500 year old Berber house nestled amid olive, almond and orange groves, about an hour and a half south of Granada. We enjoyed hiking the trails between villages, visiting the Thursday market in Orgiva, taking a day trip to the Alhambra in Granada, and having a picnic in Trevelez, the highest town in Spain. Jean-Claude is a gracious host and gifted vegetarian and vegan chef. Our only regret is we missed the April flowers. This is a great place for people who prefer the road less traveled.
