Positives: It is in an advantageous location, in that it lies between the inner city and the train station; the staff is friendly, and quite helpful; the room we stayed in came with a kitchenette, so we could buy and cook our own food; room was fairly well designed, comfortable, spacious, and clean; fairly priced. Negative: On the night before the weekend, it was somewhat noisy on the street outside our window (ear plugs helped).

We stayed two enjoyable nights at the Pension Savina. The location is good as you can walk into the old town in just a few minutes. The room was large with a kitchenette, table and chairs, as well as an extra bed. It was very clean. Breakfast was nice. The hostess did not speak much English, but we were able to make ourselves understood. There was an extra 3% charge to use a credit card, so we took euros out of the ATM. The hostess recommended a small restaurant around the corner which had traditional Thuringian wurst. We had a lovely dinner outisde on the patio. There is a small parking lot at the hotel, but we parked on the street in front with no trouble. It seemed less crowded. We booked it through bookings.com for 80E a night.
