after booking I found out on the hotel's homepage, that they will close from 9th of Octobre 2011 until autumn next year.
My experience:
- front desk was very helpful and kind, some difficultues with the invoice printer were inevitable
- up to the room, the keycard didn't work, none of teh two. So I went don't again and was told, that in this case they recommend an additional key. This worked out, but was a bit unprofessional to me to use keycard plus key.
- in the room certain corners, the quilt and the carpet didn't look "so new anymore"...
- a while in the room I was distracted by several flies, during 2 hours I did catch 7 in total ! :-(
The were very noisy around the light bulbs, so no alternative than to catch them all immediately. Don't know where they came from (the ventilation?), anyhow finally a bad conclusion of that hotel.
The overall design of the lobby is nice. Breakfast next morning was good, but not really excellent. The location is central in the „Goethe Galerie“ and the view from the windows were good.
But the rooms and corridors really need their renovation.... sorry to say that the final value was not good enough for a 4* hotel.
