The rooms in the hotel are spacious and clean, no complaints.

The restaurant is very average. The buffet was actually quite poor.

Check in and check out were efficient and friendly.

This hotel was a little disappointing. Its four stars do not entirely correspond to the quality provided. The price is a match though. The rooms are spacious. Clearly an old DDR hotel that has got a sort of facelift. Service orientation of the staff differs very much. No safety deposit box in the room. No refridgerator. Centre of Gera about half hour walk.

I had originally planned to stay just one night, but on arrival I was so pleased with the location and accomodations I extended my stay another night.

The purpose of my visit was to see the flower show, Buga 07. The Courtyard was very near to one of the Buga 07 entrances. The hotel was running a special which included room, welcome cocktail, breakfast and entrance to Buga 07.

The room and bathroom were very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It included cook to order eggs, sausage, luncheon meats, fruit, cheeses, breads and sweet rolls.

The front desk staff were helpful and gracious even assisting me with activating my telephone card.

Stayed 1 night at the hotel. Nice new hotel, but typical Marriott, drapes closed and you could be in Topeka, Kansas or Hong Kong. Service at the reception and cleaning was lousy. Upon arriving at the room in the afternoon, a room service tray with eaten food was outside the door from the night before, the toilet seat had a message on the inside of it written in lipstick from the previous partying guests, so I guess the bathroom wasn't cleaned and the front desk lied when they said they registered my Marriott Awards membership card and was missing on my Marriott Award statment, plus very unfriendly. Would go someplace else, especially for that money.
