The Mercure in Erfurt is very centrally located only a couple of meters from Anger shoppingstreet. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

Visited Erfurt to see a friend and enjoy Christmas Market. The Mercure Hotel met all our expectations from previous reviews. Good location in the old city. Rooms well appointed and spotless. One of the hardest beds that I've even slept on but better hard than sagging! A number of bakeries and a McD a block away on Anger St., so don't worry about breakfast which was ridiculously expensive.

Mercure is a very good chain. The rooms and amenities are what you expect. This is a deceptively large hotel, and they have way too few parking spaces. Their answer is to double park cars on the ramp going to the underground garage and in the small adjoining lot. If you are one of the unlucky ones, you then have to hand over your keys. Seems like they could give you the option to park in a nearby public garage.

The location is just terrific. The Angerplatz is a block away. The Kraemerbruecke, Marktplatz, Petersburg, and train station are all within easy walking distance.

We stayed here after a long drive from Heidleberg. Check in was quick but the hotel was quite small. However we were surprised to ffind how spacious it was in our room. The off putting thing though was there was no air con. It was 30 degrees and we had to have the windows open. Ok, but a block of flats looked directly into our room and you could hear every bit of noise that was made through the night.
Not much room in the car park, arrive early if travelling by car.
Location was good, but not sure if we would stay here again.
