Didn't get any sleep from 6 a.m. because there was banging from other parts of the building, something like building work. Obviously, there is no respect for guests' need for rest. Also, mattress cover and duvets were fully synthetic - not pleasant. Otherwise, staff was nice and helpful. I liked the cosy Medieval-style dining room.

Stayed here on our last leg of a European touring holiday; small, but clean & comfortable room. Limited parking outside hotel. English spoken at reception, very helpful staff - it's family run, like most of the best German hotels. Had evening meal in their tapas theme restaurant - wonderful waitress, she spoke only Spanish & German, but we managed to understand each other (I only speak a little German) & had great time. Didn't use the "Lutherstuben" medieval Thuringian theme restaurant., but it looked interesting. Breakfast full buffet. Bar full of teenage locals (and is also used as a nightclub) when we stayed so didn't use it. Good place to explore Eisenach (lots of history, plus a modern Opel manufacturing plant) and the Wartburg Schloss from.
