I recently stayed here for 3 nights with colleagues on a business trip.
The hotel is located closer to the village of Stockhausen than Eisenach. Eisenach is a 10 minute drive and the main Autobahn can be reached in a few minutes though its proximity does not affect the hotel as there is no noise detectable. The road at the front of the hotel is quiet during the night hours too.
Its' location is quite rural and therefore there are few alternatives than to eat and drink in the hotel if you do not have your own transport.
Reception staff were helpful and language was not an issue, note we found that there are only 2 copies of the restaurant menu in english!
The village of Stockhausen is a short walk but I would urge caution if walking there after dark as the road is unlit, has no foot way and is quite heavily trafficked.
The hotel restaurant serves good food and the local beer is very good. The prices are also very reasonable. Vegetarians may find choices limited however.
My room was on the second floor and was of a decent size and well furnished.
The pillows are very skimpy so if like me you like a pillow that provides firm support consider this.
The shower was very good and I had no problems with hot water, some of my colleagues who had rooms on lower floors did report some issues with water temperature.
I did not see a lift and there where stairs to the accommodation block itself so I would encourage disabled travellers to make enquiries before booking.
The town centre of Eisenach is very pleasant and there are a number of lively restaurants and bars which are well worth a visit.
I didn't drive into town but I was informed that parking can be an issue. The girl on reception advised me to park in Johann Sebastian Bach Strasse as apparently this is free and within easy reach of the town.
