This hostel is exactly what you would expect it to be - but as I didn't find any recent reviews of it, I thought I might as well add my own. It's very conveniently located from everything - restaurants on one end and the Lubeck bus stop and train station on the other. We needed a private bathroom so decided to get what they called "apartments" as opposed to a dorm-style room. It was very clean and pretty much exactly what we needed - a comfortable night's stay.
The staff was also nice and helpful, although having a german-speaker with us made it much easier as I don't think a lot of the staff spoke English. Really nice hostel all the same.
For the uber neat freaks -- they ask you to strip the beds before you check out and I kinda wish they hadn't. It wasn't the grossest I've seen by any stretch, but it just looked much cleaner and nicer with those sheets on. I almost didn't mention it in this review, so take that for what its worth.
