Stayed in this hotel with my husband and another couple. Next to the airport but a good way out of town. No one could speak English although it was advertised that they could! Had a meal in the Restaurant which was fab but we all had to guess what we ordered as there was no English menus, Rooms were very miserable and we would not stay there again.

If you just want a bed for the night to be near the airport - great its only 2 kms away - the bus stop is to the left when you come out of the hotel (cross the road if going to the hotel) BUT there isn't even coffee/tea facilities in the room - and if you don't speak German you are snookered. We met a guy with sufficient English when we arrived but didn't see him again - as this was to be a surprise weekend for my husbands birthday it was very very dissapointing.
Lubeck is a lovely city and well worth a visit. bus service is excellent. There is a self service restaurant on the 3rd floor of the department store Karstadt - excellent cream cakes. Plus they have a great selection of craft items (on the 2nd floor I think)
