We've stayed here before, when it was part of the Golden Tulip chain -- it is now the Nordic Hotel Lübecker Hof. It's a pleasant hotel for a short stay.
Our room was clean and comfortable, although a better chair for reading would be welcome. The shower in the bathroom (as in other rooms for previous stays) always manages to leak onto the floor. Our room during this stay was at the front of the hotel, and the road can be very noisy during the early morning (6 AM) traffic hours. Since there is no air-conditioning in the rooms, the alternative of leaving the windows open makes for a very short night!
Buffet breakfast at the hotel (included with our rate) is always excellent, and the wait staff is very pleasant and efficient, as are the employees at reception.
You can usually find free overnight parking (not during the day) on the street in front of the hotel, as we did. The hotel also has an underground garage. (IIRC €9 per day). Internet is free in the area around reception. The chinese restaurant across the road from the hotel is very good and has an excellent dinner buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Review: hi from dk.the hotel was not as we hoped for.the recetion dosent understand good enlish..and there was noice children runnig aroun at 11 oclock in nigth time!!!!! we stayed 2 dasy.but the tee and coffe did not change..to some more ..likke oters hotels!!!! there shouls bee bathrobe inkl the room!!!!bit there was any bathrome at the room.....wa can not recommand this hotel.. the breakfast is so exspecive teur 11.50 euro!!!at person ..at there wher nothing..go to the baker across the street ,,much cheaper...this hotel shoul only have 2 stars!!!the parking 9 euro at day!!!in the city only 5 euro at day!!!! we will not go back never

We booked this hotel for one night, as a good friend was getting married! If we visit Luebeck again, we would aim to book here again. Initially we were booked in the Ibis hotel down the road, but were glad to have stayed here for one night. The reception is great, in fact the whole ship theme throughout the hotel is unique, and the wee bar give you a feel you could be in a bar on a ship itself. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the road, and one of the best greek restaurants we have ever ate in. The room was spacious, very clean, and a fanatstic shower room, basically if you had a rough night, the shower is the best way to waken up, it will litterally blast you away. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was well decorated, varied, and great choices from either continental to a kind of british breakfast... This hotel would suit if you either are on business or a short break away, specially for visiting Luebeck which is a lovely old shipping town.

This hotel is slightly out of town, but has parking and is on a bus route. The hotel is quaint, but modern and the staff are very helpful. Rooms are big and airy and our only complaint is the usual German pillows which always seem too thin and unsupportive.
Breakfast was pretty good with a good mix of Continental, plus hot bacon egg and sausage.
We paid 89 euro per night and at that rate it is great value
