We enjoyed this spa hotel. Spacious room, very good location, although a fair distance away from downtown Kiel. Excellent food, very attentive staff. Comfort was good, one negative - small bed. Excellent pool.

My husbond and I have just spend a wonderful weekend at Ringhotel Birke. The hotel room was comfortable and inviting, the food was delicious and the service excellent. Altogether high standard. A relaxing and revitalizing stay! We will most certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family. :-)
I don't know if this recommendation is not accepted because it is too short (less than 300)?? If so I think you should check it. Quantity does not garantee better quality! ;-)

Stayed here for one night in April, and it was quite fine. The hotel is located somewhat outside the city centre (10-12 euros by taxi), but it is a nice and quiet spot. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast nice, and the rooms spacious and good. Well-filled minibar in the room. If you want to stay in a cosy hotel in a quiet area, and do not depend on being in the city centre your whole stay, this is a nice place to spend some time.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. Rooms were nice, ours had air conditioning. Did not eat dinner in the dining room, too expensive for us, but had drinks in the bar area while writing post cards. Not a centrally located hotel in Kiel, so if you don't have transportation may not be the best, maybe some transportation into Kiel can be found during big events(???), but great for exploring Schleswig Holstein because you can easily get in and out of the area. Lots of spa stuff.
The staff was very courteous.
