This is an average hotel with a nice restaurant. Nothing special about this - but are you looking for an OK place to sleep for a night or two, go ahead.

Booked the hotel using Expedia. Clean hotel, nice room, quiet location on a bus line minutes from downtown. Helpful staff. Close to the waterfront for a nice walk along the Kielerstrasse. Hotel restaurant was OK, not great, but OK in a pinch. There were nice restaurants nearby and the Kiel Art Museum is just a few minutes away.

Though this is a partner of the Steigenberger group, this Hotel seems to be like we are Steigenberger, so we are good? I got a room in the very back and end of the hotel, reachable by a slow small lift or many stairs.

The room i got was a room with park side view with a french bed. The bed was a more old style low bed, with not a 4 star bed sleeping quality. THIS 4 Star Hotel does not have
an airco in the rooms, so it was very pressy hot in the room, so had to open all the windows to get some air.

The bathroom, small, with a bathtub was only with "single room" amenities. Though i asked for an extra towel, it was not delivered. To be "greenminded" is very good, but
this was for me a bit to much!

The breakfast restaurant was also rather old fashioned, just wa lucky to be able to sit outside on a morning cool terrace. The staff out here was very friendly!

The hotel is located in the city centre of Kiel, only a few minutes walk from the shoppingarea and main street of Kiel. The hotel is clean, could need some maintenance in the rooms (change the yellow stained silikon in the bathroom, change/redecorate some furnishing surfaces), beds are soft and nice to sleep in, flatscreen and minibar at hand. Conti Hansa has a prudent staff who also speek well english, and a quite tasteful breakfastbuffet with a wide selection. Spacious parking in the basement at only € 18 pr day, possible to leave the car for an extra copule of hours after checking out which allows you to get the most out of the shops opening hours... A very good choice when staying in Kiel - also easily accessible when arriving by car.
