On your way to Danmark this is a good stopover. Hotel Wassersleben is close to the border. More important, all rooms have very nice view (Flensburg Fjord). But most important of all is the very good restaurant. Awarded a Bib Gourmand Michelin (again in 2008), good food for a fair price.

Spent 2 nights at this hotel in April and it was not terribly pleased with the fact that you could not enjoy a smoke free room as there are none available in this establishment. We experienced some terrible smoke issues in the bathroom with strong damp smoke coming through the ceiling vent from another room into our bathroom. Even my spouse who is not bothered by cigarette smoke was irritated by this. We did our best to keep the door closed at all times and use the room as little as possible. Thankfully we were leaving the next morning.

The location is lovely and the hotel restaurant was fine however I would not stay there again unless they can offer some rooms etc. with a smoke free environment. Even a smoke free area in the restaurant would be nice.

Very nice hotel on a perfect location. Many room overlook the Flensburg Fjord. You see the sun rise from your room and hear the water through your door. Food is excellent, rooms are nice,c;ean and cosy. Atmosphere in the hotel is good. I stayed here on several occasions and can give my best recommendation.
