Another business trip to Halberstadt. This hotel is fantastic. Set in lush grounds and located close to the train station (you don't hear any noise).

The rooms are huge, the bathrooms almost the size of a normal single room in London and the service is outstanding!

The hotel has a 'Wellness' area inclusing a small swimming pool. The breakfasts are amazing, serving just about any hot or cold option you could imagine in a cheerful bright sun room.

There is a restaurant on site. The options are a bit limited but are good value. The highliaght has to be that this hotel has it's own micro-brewery, so the standard os the beer is great!

Despite speaking very little German, the staff were keen and eager to help me. Late evenings were spent in the main bar drinking Mojitos on special offer!

I was there for two weeks. At the weekend, we took a break in Berlin and they allowed us to leave our large cases in storage so we only needed weekend bags.

Special mention to the English girl who manned reception and the bar and whose name I now can't remember (I know she came from Kent). She couldn't do enough to make us welcome during our stay.

If you find yourself in this relatively quiet part of German, take a detour and give this place a try!
