This hotel is in a park on the edge of the city and near the river. It is a beautiful old property which is very well maintained. Very clean, very quiet, very old world Europe. The rooms are large and as with the rest of the hotel has an art deco decor. The beds were comfortable and the linens were high quality. The restaurant was fantastic - very good food mainly Germany dishes served. The breakfast buffet was great! The meeting rooms were perfect. I used small rooms and mid size rooms for meetings. The meeting accommodations were top-notch. The only downside of this hotel for me was that the internet was pricey, there were not samples of hair products which I would expect to find in a hotel of this quality, there was only one English channel on available on the TV, and all the signs (menus, rooms brochures, etc.) in the hotel is in German. The staff speak very limited English - but they are polite, professional and very accommodating to the guests. This property is close to a tram station and a few hundred meters from the train, but it is not within close walking distance of any shops. It is perfect for a honeymoon, a business retreat or pampered relaxation (walking outside or in the fantastic spa).
