a bad impression with surly check in staff after horrific drive through road blocks and heavy rain. Over priced and thus empty restaurant, went to nearby Italian . Good comfy rooms where price and quality showed through. The next day the check out staff were very helpful and informative and lifted our memories of the stay. Parking free just outside main doors, an old communist era buildings, nearer city centre than first impression.

Stayed 1 night. picture is misleading as there are derelict blocks of flats either side of the hotel and the facade is tired- however once inside - wow! A complete overhaul from DDR days - modern and big lobby - big dining room - nice bar.
Pool and gym on mezzanine and we were on floor 1. Large room with TV , Minibar and shower/toilet. Dated decor but v clean - all mod cons like hair dryer etc.
Chairs and table made it more like a suite.
Breakfast was stunning a huge hot and cold buffettn that no one couldnt be impressed by.
Parking was free at front of hotel. It was quiet(august) but I reckon it gets busy for conferences rest of year. Staff good all spoke english and highly efficient. 10 min walk into town centre and 2 min tram ride back.

I highly recommend this place as eithera stopover - Berlin Schonefeld 2 hours or if you are visiting Halle

Very nice hotel lacated a few hundred meters from the bahnhof with some parking places in front, and some paying at the back (not protected but at 10€ per night).

This is clearly an old Ost-Deutsch hotel which was totally renovated (a lot of the rooms were pulled together to get decent sized rooms).

The swimmingpool is very good. They don't have whirlpool, but the swimming pool contains a whirlarea, which can be activated by hand (if you don't find it, look for the reflectors on the ground and hold your hand in front of them).
Sauna is good and large, and might contain some naked germans. Hammam is present but not tried.
